I think the old wildy/free trade was more of a challange than todays runescape. I mean look at how you used to actually talk to the seller to come up with a good price that YOU BOTH can agree on and you didnt have to go back to the bank to grab random crap to balance the trade.
The old wildy was way better and it actually made sense. I mean why take the time to change worlds when its right next to you?

There is a big difference ... killing chickens vs killing people that do not want to be killed...the things you refer to are meant to be killed by the game... to kill and people who have no desires to be killed is a bullying tactic ..I suggest you get of Xmas break and go back to school :)
and oh yes as for the rude behavior and cussing...when u are alone you really dont tend to do these things....get all you in the wild together the rudeness will be there...And dont say it won't.....I have seen it all!

The GE should stay. Don't you think it would be annoying to put like 100k for an item in GE that everyone is selling for 500k in the GE and you have no clue that this is happening. Also, how will us players get to clan wars and everything else valuable in the wildy like runite ore, clue scrolls, and etc.

This post is to update my previous one on this topic on page 774.
I read another 50 or so pages and just can't go on. The point has been well proven by now anyway. The voting discussion has really tapered off since so many have already voted (obviously ALL have in regard to phase one), so people bragging about vote cheating has really tapered off too. I still remember seeing others that I haven't gotten to, but not many. I'm only adding one more page number I came across in actually participating in current discussion last night, as opposed to reviewing past posts. The final tally as to pages I covered in this excercise is 350-620 or so plus another 20 pages or so around 780. For the full story of what these page numbers represent please see page 774 post 2.
Page numbers: 363, 378, 392, 417, 426, 429, 432, 452, 470, 519, 550, 567, 781.
EDIT: And a very special mention for the prize winning cheater, who didn't just vote multiple accounts, he used BANNED accounts to do it and unashamedly admitted it: page 886
EDIT 2: Awww, now he went and edited out his admission to voting with his 10 banned accounts. Not surprising I suppose, since he still admits to not liking "women."
Shall I just leave those uninterested in doing the reading hanging as to the "Secret of the Ratio of Proponent to Opponent Cheating?" Well I'll give you a hint. The ratio of proponent cheating examples divided by opponent cheating examples involves dividing a number by zero.

haha its funny when there was only a yes option the "8%'ers" said it wasn't fair. Then a fair vote comes out with their NO option and now the vote is rigged and fake because they're losing just like all of us pkers and merchers said they would. 8%'ers you truly have no chance i would just stop whinning now.

Well I'm about done beating my head against a wall here. Other opponents can take over for me if they wish. A (probably) final post:
Will I quit RS when this reversion happens? Certainly not immediately. Very few opponents have said they will, unlike supporters who claim on the one hand everyone who likes this idea already has, and on the other that they all will if this doesn't come to pass. Were they all planning to quit before Jagex announced this a week and a half ago? Because if it doesn't come to pass (which it will) how will their situation have changed, other than that they feel Jagex lied to them? That's exactly how opponents have felt through this whole "voting" process, and we seem to be able to deal with it.
No, I will be able to live with the changes to the GAME mechanics just fine.
I wouldn't mind the option of gifting large value items or gold. I'll be very happy to see price manipulating merch clans gone if that happens. I haven't seen any CONVINCING evidence that they will; only the flat claim that they will many times, but that may be my problem as I don't feel especially good at economics.
Jagex claims that they will be cracking down on botters to deal with the unquestionable rise in bots this will bring, even admitted to by MMG in the first announcement. It has been utterly amazing how many people claim it won't affect botting. One is forced to assume many of them are botters for them to make such a ridiculous claim. It's impossible to really see how good a job they're doing at botter banning; if they're gone you can't see them, but I know there are plenty now, and many here have testified to the ease of getting away with it. For this reason I'm not too confident that in a few months I won't find it harder to efficiently work on a skill for all the bots. But perhaps they really DO have some new system to compensate for the increase; we shall see.

I'm not worried about getting scammed or lured. I don't see a direct effect on hacking, other than an increase in numbers of the sort of people that would try it. Also doesn't worry me.
Other than clues, orbs and Bork there isn't much content that takes me into the wildy now, and I've dealt with PKers there in the past. After an initial blood or_gy it will probably return to old levels of population in the wild. While I don't sneeze at revenants, PKers will be more likely to cost me clue scrolls. All the presence of PKers will do is make it more inconvenient to use content in the wild. After being annoyed enough times I may decide it isn't worth the hassle, as will many others, and the PKers will find the easy kills of players ill equipped to fight other players they so desperately desire will mostly dry up. Which will leave them in the position so many posters suggested: no different than a PVP world with old-wildy-style PVP rules.
Some wildy content will be moved; most of what has been announced will be moved doesn't concern me, and I don't consider what has been announced to be set in stone anyway.
No, the thing I regret, and the thing that may eventually make me leave RS will be the shift in player population. I never used to hang out in Edgeville in old wildy days because it was so annoying to be surrounded by arrogant little immature tools who insisted on filling up the chat with their testosterone-laden tantrums, prepended by their childishly offensive usernames. I have no desire to interact with this sort of player in any way: trading, chatting, "fiting", even seeing TBH.
It's not as if rudeness and immaturity aren't common enough now; do we really need to bring in a bunch more people predisposed (on average) to bullying others and taking their stuff or cheating in trades and through botting?

(and finally)
I realize not all the supporters on here have shown themselves to be so classless, but any fair reviewing of this thread will demonstrate the differences in class of the average supporter and opponent, at least insofar as those who support the old wildy portion goes. This is perfectly exemplified in the poll voting itself. For evidence see my post on page, oh... this page.
I didn't write this post to try to convince people how to vote; that battle was lost before it started. My only purpose was to show Jagex that I and many others realize you simply want to boost membership, and are betting (quite correctly, no doubt) that this move will gain you more members than it costs. But by making certain obvious decisions you can gain most of the people you're looking to get without costing you any present members, and you don't need me to explain them to you. You probably know what they are without even needing to read this thread.
