I think free trade is a bad idea because some players will cheat. And some players will steal money from other players instead of dropping their valuable things.
And if willderness will return beginning players will be killed easily.

I am greatly opposed to the return of free trade and the wildy because of all the botting etc. In addition what about the monsters that appear only in the wilderness, with too many high level players about it will be hard to complete slayer tasks that require those monsters to be killed (if there is a location where there are green dragons or the KBD for that matter outside of the wilderness i am unaware of it :@ ) I *now the majority of runescape players disagreee with me (because i just voted and 90% want it to return vs 8% who dont) but the wildy and free trade had too many problems. I hope that if these are reintroduced that some worlds will remain as they are now. (and if free trade is reintroduced removing the upper and lower price on the G.E. is a very bad idea) these are my thoughts - the King Black Dragon

@Astro
Yeah I remember I wondered over to edgeville back in my lower level days and three players came up to me. At first they were harrassing me, but when I stood up to them they revealed they were just kidding. They gave my an amulet of strength, addy longsword and some money.
I posted earlier that I was less concerned with the return of the PK wild, but reading through the post I realized that there isn't a sense of danger in the wild now. Because of the old days I only took three items into the wild with me when I went, now sometimes I forgot to make a bank stop. I *ow see the wild has been turned into a joke, reveants give up after a while and you can out run them or they'll chase someone else. But one person using an Ice spell then 3 others piling you is hard to avoid and players can teleblock you to. I still think they should have safe wild zone though, so non-PKers can still essence run to the abyss and chaos alter without worrying about PK campers, but I'm now a bit more in favor of the sense of danger returning to the wild.
Also I stated before but it was probably overlooked, you can't make people do right. Say you don't want this back because of how it was exploited before sounds good on paper, but it's really not. There are still botters and scammers(again the mint cake thing) and merch clans. The hard doing good becomes, the more appealing doing bad becomes. And the item scamming, there are two confirm windows, one where you make the first exchange and a second to confirm it, always has been. If your trading for a rune longsword and you look at the second confirm window and see a bronze longsword, hit decline.

This vote will be easily decided. I really hope it is reinstated though. I liked it before. Although the wilderness thing might not seem like that much of a good idea, but since they're taking care of the activites (FOG, and clan wars) thats perfectly fine. If it does get reinstated, thank you Jagex and congrats on everything this past decade. :)

Lol why do people act like pkers are just standing there waiting to tangle tb some ess runner in edge lol. Back when wild was free I would hardly see anyone harass ess runners at edge. Pkers got better things to do than that, usually

I think you misunderstood me, mate. =P I'm with practically everything that you said. I am totally in favour of the old wildy coming back and free trade with it. The best way to not get scammed is to pay attention at all times when trading, check the screens and items individually as many times as you need in order to see that it's correct. Check the gp/items that you're being traded/sold and you will not be scammed. I'm quite aware of how to avoid being scammed since I am from the old school days as well. =P Do not take part in any "trust games" or allow others to "trim" your armours. If they decline the trade many times, stay patient and do not accept any trades without ever checking through everything for as long as you need to determine that it is all right.
RWT and bots still do exist, that is most definitely true. Trade limits didn't drive them to extinction, they exist on anyway. However, I am placing confidence in Jagex to have ways to combat RWT and botters when/if Free Trade and old wildy are introduced again. I've faith that their new bot combatting technologies and their staff will do their best to bring down rwters and botters. I've never blamed Jagex for the trade limits, I've always blamed the filty vermin that are rwters and botters for it.
Free trade will kill manipulator clans like warfarin drops rats as well. I don't care if items will crash a ton when free trade is introduced because freedom from price manipulators dominating our market and controlling the economy is definitely a "fair trade" for a crash on my bank. =P
