sin of pride blatently has no well constructed arguement behind his disapproval and i'll disregard his disrespect towards Jagex.
Now I completely understand the reason's as to why those would not want free trade/wildy back, bots, scammers, the list goes on; however it is in the interest of the creaters to provide the most enjoyable gameplay for their consumers yet most profitable for themselves. In my opinion the wild may have brought along a significant sources of conflict, however it also brought an enormous market of players along with it.
I, myself have been playing runescape since 03', 04' and therefore have seen the game evolve to incredible standards. Standard's and gameplay that i hope will continue to flourish, but to do so i believe the wilderness must return. The new pvp system may prevent all the things spoken of early however it simply doesnt hold that pker mentality that i (among others) so graciously enjoyed. Although i have heard many who enjoy the pvp system's brought on after the removal of the wilderness i must admit i have not met but one who enjoys it MORE.
When it truely come's down to it, Jagex must provide what the masses desire in order to increase the demand for their game.. and that desire is, and will remain the wilderness.
As far as free trade, i have a very wavering opinion on this subject. The min/max that has been set by Jagex is an incredible endeavour that has created a more civilized, almost evolving community with its fluctuation determined by what id assume is the demand and supply of that item. However Jagex attempts at cease bots and the supply of gold by organizations and online distributers has inflicted mild dilema's for their players. Simple things such as distributing gift's to long-term friends or simply being kind!
In the end however i do not see much of a need for free trade to return as it will bring along untold amounts of illegal activity among the players.
