I thought that the poll was restrictive because it offered broad "all or nothing" options. "Don't mind" is pretty much a yes-vote. I voted "no" because I perceived that the poll is somewhat "gamed" in favor of a yes vote. I see by the poll results that my opinions are moot, and that the Runescape community overwhelmingly favors the return of free trade and the old wildy.
I remember the hoards of bots that freely roamed across Runescape. I strongly approve of how Jagex eliminated most of the bots. Sure, bots still exist, but not in such huge numbers as we saw a few years ago. Saying that bots will always be around, so, why not just roll over and remove the restrictions seems incredibly ill-considered. So, I can not believe that Jagex is seriously considering inviting the hoards of bots to return. Something else must be up.
I'd vote yes if there were assurances that we will not see a new wave of bots overrun us at every resource gathering spot on Runescape. I do not want things to return to how they were in 2007.
I'd vote yes if there were assurances that bots would not increase server load and impact players who are actually playing the game.
I would like trade restrictions removed if that means that I can give special and expensive gifts to my friends and family.
I would not vote in favor of the proposed changes if that means that younger or more naive players would fall prey to predatory scammers and lurers.
Overall, I am satisfied with Runescape, and do not have any serious criticism of the way Jagex has provided us with this nice place to play over the last 10 years. I've simply rolled with the changes in the past. I am prepared to do so again. I trust that if the proposed changes are implemented, they will not ** as ill-considered as the simple yes/no poll suggests.
