I haven't played runescape in a long time. about 3 or 4 years ago all of my friends did. and then there was the update, and then there was no more giving your friends some good stuff to help them, no more going out into the wilderness and hope to get a noobs stuff. I stopped playing runescape at that point. Earlier today my friend decided to see how RS was going. He saw the petition, and told me. I thought he was just messing with me. I heard his words and some of my greatest memories of roaming the open wildy with my friends, sharing the loot and having great fun. Now I see that the old RS is coming back. I am so excited, I can't explain. Thank you Jagex! it took 3 or 4 years but RS is coming back! Thank you!

Somehow I have to believe people's reading comprehension would be a lot better if their opinions on this topic were different. Can you not be bothered to read any posts that discuss the flawed voting? Or do you somehow believe we're lying when we say that people voted multiple accounts, many created specifically for the purpose of voting yes. If so, read the many people's posts on this very thread that admitted and encouraged doing exactly that.
You are technically permitted to say 570K votes (stipulating to your math) were cast for yes. But it is flatly, provably, common sense dictated that 570K PLAYERS most certainly did NOT vote for this. How many players do you know with one account (like me)? And what percent of those with multiple accounts do you suppose had the honesty to vote on only one of them? How about you personally? Do you suppose everyone else is more honest than you? And that doesn't even cover those that created new accounts in the last week never intending to play them; only to vote them.
If everyone who wants this change averaged only TWO accounts ongoing (a low estimate), didn't create ANY others (fat chance) and did what most people would think nothing of doing, i.e. voted on both of their accounts, your 570K instantly becomes 285K.

i personaly can not belive the game wants to take a giant leap backwards to the days of real life trading where sites offered coins or party hats for money.
also this means people with 22 bad acounts with a few mill each can now have a super account and trade between them.
i thought we made item lending so people could give there friends items for a while to stop this problem and i personaly think lending works well i could never afford a god sword but when a friend is not using it they just let me borrow it.
also the days of going into wildy to pk green dragons or do runecrafting, get the god cape , mine rune ore e.t.c and getting 55 people in a clan pick on you, you kill 6-7 of them and you get nothing as when they kill you, you drop it all.
the new pk worlds are a far better idea than the old wildy however they need to be tweaked a little.
Rather than go backwards lets go forward lets make the wildy a pk zone but if you get to the green dragons your safe and can't be pked in there which means its a race to get there, can you get there before someone kills you?
also lets introduce the new pking weapons into wildy and the new rules where you get your money when you come out of wildy based on what you wore in there and how many people you killed.

My Thoughts
I think that to prevent scamming before the trade goes on there should be a prompt that says you're about to pay e.g. 60,000gp for a 7000gp Ruby is this what you want?
This will help vulnerable players from getting scammed, also in the tutorial create a trading part.
I hope my request will help with the game in the future.

I have been playing RS for a number of years and well remember the old wildy. I really dont want to see it back as was. Why? I generally only go into the wildy when i need to for treasure trails****, Abyss, making air orbs, quests, rift, etc, and well remember being gang-ambushed on many occasions losing my clue and location stuff. Many of us players dont want to PVP, or have times when we do and times when we dont. PVP worlds/PVP wildy worlds are great as I can elect to go there or not. Of course, if there were no need to go into the wildy for skilling/clue/quest/etc purposes, then all the above objections are removed.
Also, I remember the WC bots everywhere, chopping all the Yews. The GE/trade restriction was a great way to stop many of these armies of bots all giving their logs to the master account for sale. I really hope we dont see a return of these as they spoiled the game for the normal users.
For the rare/very valuable items, like P-Hats, why not allow a free trade? These things rarely go through the GE in any case, so why not allow a set of these items to be free-tradable?
Most stuff is OK in the GE as it stops people being scammed, which was a regular complaint in the old days, as nobody really knew what the "going" rate was for any item. I agree that price fixing by groups bulk buying/selling is a bit of a problem, but there must be a better way to stop these, such as limiting the amount an item can change price per day to 10%. I like the min/max prices personally. Stuff i just want to lose goes in cheap, stuff i want real cash for goes in high.
Despite the vote, i think theres a lot of players that really dont want the wildy back as it was, unless access is really optional.

So when we began, it was all of an end, this chronical of runescape begins to end, and as I start to pretend the face of a treble base kicks right back into this stupid place where no race lived for another day, but trace from a master disgrace upon these lyrically placed interceptions and now we speak, what was once brought up on broken feet n as we feel runescape's beat, yeah thats pretty neat now let's commend and show them what needs to be remend, who's with me till the end? worldy forever together, not even a letter splitting the soul now all you defence newb* that was brought up on coal, as i start to unfold into an entirity i patrol, this is the end the last battle to commense and be free of all this poverty that turns right back out to what it was gonna be, so see me now * feel me now let's take this plan into a prototype bay n commense for free. turn this s*** around n feel me.

Dont look for a easy way out and learn how not to fall for tricks...

Learn how to go through difficulties of life and dont ask for someone to do everything for you.

Hmm.... this is quite a tough decision.
In my opinion, bring back free trading but keep the wilderness we have now, having three different kinds (one world with no revenants for newbies jaunting to Clan Wars, Bounty Hunter world, and worlds with the wildy we have now.)
I bet a pretty penny that a good bit of the people here say no partially because they got scammed a bunch when they were level 2. Don't let your laziness back in your newbish days interfere with your vote.
As for the people who have 20 accounts at once all running gold farming bots, then RWTing the gold or transferring it all to a main, make it so every IP address can only have 1-2, maybe 3 at the most accounts for that IP address.
Besides people... they would only probably run this as a test, monitor it for 1 or 2 months, then maybe take another poll and decide whether to keep the changes or not.
I mean, as a 4-year player, I enjoyed the days when I gave my close friends presents for their rare occasions... (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries.)
So peace out people, this is why kid aren't allowed to have guns. I'm a gonna go WC to my heart's content.
