@ Zontrol. They Click to fast because they are excited to get the item, back then i was like that and would easily get scammed, also back then people would make an offer, click accept and quickly close it down, obviously if your not quick enough, you dont get the item, so i doubt reading the trade wealth carefully would make a difference as people would be to excited trying to quickly obtain that item. As for botting and RWT, I already knw there is botting and clearly we are dealing with it but as soon as Free trades come back, would you want people making Level 3 accounts and trading all their wealth to their main, and show you up like they were the richest in the game? i doubt it, its already bad enough there are those becooming rich by botting, but transfering money to your main and not risking the fact that your main is getting caught and still becoming rich?? now thats just ridiculous. And tell, how do you trade items or money if there is a trade limit already in its place? the onli Rwt there could possibly be is trading accounts, but i doubt Jagex members would catch those. Once Free trades is back, onli those who have money can afford items/mills which i personally think is not fair because of those people working hard trying to make money the fair way. O_o

Well , Back in the old ''good'' times when somewho just accomplished full rune it was cool.
Now everyone is rich and stuff.
the game has been improved , and i like the way it is now.
they shouldnt changed it again.
id prefer to see new stuff i havnt seen yet.

Hey guys, just a quick and important reminder.
THIS WAS A PETITION!!!! If you do not know what a petition is...I'll explain.
Its basically a sheet of paper with a general topic at the top saying "Want Free trade and wildy back??"
NO WHERE DOES IT SAY "want to vote no too?"
Even in real life you dont sign petitions and put "no". You would look like an idiot. And people who did click the "votenow button" expecting a real poll when it said "PETITION" in the description if you bothered to read it. You just dont sign petitions to say no.
Case in point,
Jagex just tested runescapes iq, and it was less than Barrak Obama.

As for all the people against this, STOP, the wilderness is a BIGGER part of runescapes history than you'd ever understand, it made the RUNESCAPE UNIQUE! i've been playing runescape since 2005 and always, always loved the wilderness, NOTHING compares to it, free trade aswell, this is what MADE runescape what it was and that is what got most of the people playing it, YOUR NOT BEING FORCED TO PK, YOUR NOT BEING FORCED TO GIVE AWAY YOUR ITEMS, so why moan? this has no real negative effects as it has been longer in the game than out, so for everybody against it, why are you moaning? it doesn't have to effect you at all, its good for the true runescapers like myself who acctually do want this to happen and when seeing this actually did get happy!

Great work Jagex, im coming back !

I'm not at all sure the word petition appeared anywhere on the phase one poll. I saw people on this forum trying to correct them in fact, back around the date it came out, maybe page 200-300 or so telling them they should have called it a petition. The first time I saw the word petition was in the phase 2 "referendum" news post. In fact when I saw the phase one poll the button was labelled "vote yes" (and earlier than I saw it, it was labelled entirely misleadingly "vote now&quot ;) and you don't vote petitions, you sign them.
Speaking of signing petitions, you only get to sign a real petition once. And that once has to be your own name. Anything else is called FRAUD. Read back in this forum and marvel at the number of yes vote cheaters who openly admit to voting other people's names and voting all their current accounts and creating accounts to vote yes. And be amazed again that you can't find a single no voter admitting to these tactics. (I may have missed one, but please... look for yourself)
If any more evidence is needed that this process doesn't even deserve words like "poll" or "vote" consider that they reached 1.2 million votes in one day in phase one when cheating and multiple voting was easier compared to the 600K or so in multiple days for phase 2 when you have to log in to vote. And conveniently all those brand newly created yes voting accounts were instantly available to log in and vote yes again when it really counted.

It is quite clear that a lot of p-mods, forum mods, whatever kind of mods there are, at least on this thread, vehemently disagree with this, as do I. I also find it a very unfair vote. Of all the new players, who do not know what old wildy is or what free trade is, they see all these new opportunities for botting, scamming, begging, etc, OR they think, hmmm, I want something new and game-changing, and this is it. They vote without actually having any knowledge and they have not experienced old wildy or wcing with a bunch of bots.
I will quit the game if this goes through, and I would like to suggest a petition for other people who will do the same, though I am not active enough to take this any further.

Lol, to all you idiot's boycotting this, 8% of the 620k people who have voted , which is around 50k runescape players said ''no'' dont bring it back..STFU ALREADY! 570k players want it back... Runescape lost well over 50k active players on 10th decemember 2007...And among them 50k players were probably 80% members that's a lot of membership paid monthly lost..SNM.
Jagex have done the right thing with bringing it back..wildy truely made runescape the best MMORPG ever..i started playing World of warcraft after trade limit and wildy died, but nothing compares to runescape before 10/10/07.

Ive been playing runescape since about 2004, i used to love pking, at rune rocks with friends. free trade is beneficial to those who wish to start a new character and give them some money to start off with.....
when wilderness went and Bounty hunter or w/e was put in it wasnt the same, was to easy to die with so many people, plus the skull rules etc. PVP now is either about pures or massive clans, theres no room for solo pkers really anymore, in deep wildy etc.
I would love to see old wildy back, it was something that made runescape great.
oh, for people afraid of people botting and whatnot in wildy places such as green drags and rune rocks..... bots are easy targets for pkers, and are sometimes profitable....so players also can assist with regulating bots....
warning wise, upon entering wildy stating how much is being risked is an effective way to allow people to work out something may be a bit off, aswell as the wilderness ditch - those 2 measures should remian in wildy i feel.
about item scammin/people wanting high amounts for some "rare items" could be dealt with by retaining the display of the average price in the window above the accept/decline.. This would enable people to more likely detect a potential scam.
inevitably, some people may make unknowingly make a silly mistake and get scammed, but we learn from our experiences, and we learn to avoid it. And im certain that people seeing scams will not happily sit quietly, and are likely to report.
okay to sum up:
- Old wildy will bring back some fun into the game, something that changes and is flexible.... you can only do barrows or godwars so many times before u get bored etc
- Free trade isnt necissarily a bad thing, with many positive sides, but it too makes the game more fun, with "bargains" etc.... and no more blasted merch clans =D
I hope old wildy comes back - i miss pking, solo or with a friend or 2 =)
edit: i also went to world of warcraft, like K1ll3r F1sh, old runescape was better though =)

I have been playing since the runescape 2D days just like alot of you.
i stopped playing when the removed the wilderness and free trade, just like millions of other people
runescape lost its purpose.
half of the fun was buying items and going next to the bank at lumbridge trying to sell your rune items just a little lower then the person next to you.
the wilderness was the best thing in the world from making sure you didnt attack people first so you didnt get a skull, to making sure you were at level 25 so you can telleport.
it was fun
it was runescape
if someone was stupid enough to get scammed then they shouldnt be playing anyway.. seriously people who claim to give them a membership if they give them they'r ********.. its just stupid.
obviously new players should be taught about the most common scams like this in the tutorial so they are aware to the most common scams.
BRING IT BACK,
it was the best thing ever about runescape..
