I was a player of classic runescape in 2004-2006, i (thank god) missed 2007, came back 2008-mid2009, then my friend moved awayto goergia. he was the first person i met here when i moved from california at the age of 3. i quickly picked up runescape and LOVED it. but back to the point, me and my friend communicate mainly through cellphone, but also use runescape and xbox live quite often. i would love free trade back, but the wildy should stay the same. revs stop people from sitting withbots and killing green dragons and other things like that. many people (like me) are afraid to explore the wildy, but it is simply too much to miss out on. it takes up 1/4 of runescape for crying out loud! in trad it should show prices to let people know what they need, but it should not have limitations. and the second part of trade should be more noticable. I have had my account hacked before, but it was entirely my fault. i gave away my account information, its that simple. most of the time, its the players fault. although there is still one thing i am upset about. i tried to recover my frozen account that i made when i was very young. and i cant. i was young and my life wasnt the same as it is now. is there any way me and plenty of my friends could get help on that? it would be alot easier to get them back into this game. thanks for all you guys have done. you're great. i know how much work this can be. runescape was a part of my childhood. it still is. but i need it to be close to what it was before in order for me to enjoy the game. P.S. MORE LOW LEVEL COMBAT ITEMS!!!

rofl, the only reason why this " vote " is such a landslide victory for pro pking/free trade is because the 100s of thousands and maybe a million ? accounts that were created overnight to vote in the petition are now all voting in this election for pking/free trade. In essense the voting is rigged as was the petition. It's impossible for the no side to win, even though we know through Jagex's own polls that a minority of players ( real players, not the newly created ones ) actually did pk. And the majority of those sucked at it, they could only pk unarmed abyss runecrafters or at mage bank in the safety of their clans, some of which had members in the hundreds :)
Pro old wildy here, and I didn't abyss pk or hide out in clans, I soloed. But I won't vote in a joke election. And in this thread how many no wildy voters even bother with reading this thread, we all know with certainty bringing back wildy/free trade is a done deal. Lol @ the peops posting here wondering if their side has enough votes. Better create more accounts and vote pking :)

Even if this poll runs until year 2025, its not gonna change. The referendum is at 90% in favor of this, and it will be until its over. The people have spoken. I am in favor of this, though I hope theres like a "recommended price" to sell and buy items. Then people wouldn't get scammed or ripped-off. Maybe old wildy worlds? Areas? I'd rather not be 2 xp from an agility level and get owned.

This is brilliant news, this is the main reason I haven't played properly for years. I will definitely be back if this does come into action.
Reading through the posts I've noticed people saying that clue scrolls will be too hard. It was never a problem before the wilderness was removed. As for players that started after the updates, it won't be too hard to get used to it. There used to be a trend to the worlds for pking, for example world 23 may have had a high number of players pking, you just had to know which worlds, at which times, were quiet.
As for real world trading; this is something every major game has to deal with and in my eyes isn't that much of problem. If anything it will generate more income for Jagex in the long run anyway. If, say for example, 10 players that are members like to buy RS gold then that's £35 Jagex are getting a month from memberships. Take away the easy money and they're more than likely going to quit ** they can't be bothered earning it themselves. Thus Jagex lose the £35 a month in memberships if they do quit. I know it's cheating and what have you, but like I said, it's a factor of every major game.
As for people being scammed, then I'm sorry but if you're not bright enough to avoid it then tough luck.

As a proud member of the Runescape community... I have an advice that will suit well for Jagex and the future on Runescape.
Respect democracy, and the people who voted on the referendum.
If 90% said yes... there is no point in bringing new referendums or setting the vote bar higher than it was. You already know the majority would love free trade/wildy back.
And Jagex if you dont want to loose half of your players, do as I said in previously. We would be extremely ****** off if you do not do as promised. We will be ****** off because you created dreams in us and then crushed them.
Do not make the same mistake you did when you first removed free trade. Change isnt't always good.
But in this case change will be for better.
Think about this :)

ok the vote thing "good idea" gets people going, makes them feel involved and yeh in the past before this was taken away it had alot of scamming in it from free trade and people buying gold to getting scammed in the wilderness but the old wildy was class and after itwas taken away alot of people were ****** but then when use do i my opinion a great thing some start complaining.... OFCOARSE it should come back!! the wildy is great and to be fair without the pvp in it, it just wasnt the same wildy and was always missing the pvp effect and it wont effect clue scrolls cos they'll be re-located and the G.E thing would destoy merch clans :O without the max and min price tags :O it would totally reinovate the game :O and make it better :) i personally dont really care to much about free trade it benefits some and annoys others but thats just an experience of the game you learn and the wildy, i would love that back and wasnt personally effected by scammers but if that was but is not such a problem then all engines go for the wildy and free trade back :D

Alot of people are saying " Alot of us will quit, blah blah."Tbh..I don't think jagex is worried about people quitting cuz' they wont bring it back. they make more than enough money even if people did quit. Even if HALF the people quit right now they STILL would make more than enough money. It really comes down to the compassion and passion of jagex for their real fans and what runescape stands for, not for these new players that dont know a thing about how rs should be. They wont quit..Infact all these new players in BH +1 worlds can finally see what protect item really means, and what it means for it to be smited out. L2pk. Same with all the people saying free trade shouldn't come back in fear of the ge dissapearing or beign changed. Man let me tell you.. Sitting for hours trying to sell items that I couldn't sell was what made up the best memories of runescape. Spamming my " Selling full rune 180k" For an hour to finally sell it felt GOOD. Now you can just walk up to the ge and buy that and take less than 10 seconds. You know nothing about the good ol' days.

90% want it.... we have spoken!!! yeh ok 8% dont want it! that's 8%!!! dont like it.... fine!, dont play the game and 2% sittin on the bench wtf!! your either for it or agains it make up your mind :) 90% is more than enough to bring it back and i think this refferendum was just a way of interacting with the community, yous must have known we wanted it back and this refferendum was over before it had even begun :) bring back free trade and the 'wildy' ftw
