Teem sleep and others who say we've been whining for years to bring back the old wildy and now we're all whining that they're going to do it:
Allow me to make a suggestion for you to consider. It's pretty far fetched, and you may have to really think about it for a while. Maybe you'll never believe it, because it's really intellectual and deep....

As much as I would enjoy Drop Trader hunting again, I must say I disagree with this move. I remember how terrible the game was with the crippling RWT, what's going to make it different now?
If you actually really wanted a true response from players you would have gone about it an a way that you would have gotten an actual result not one skewed.
I have respected your company and Mods, have stuck up for ideas that were not popular etc. but this has been so underhanded that I just can not go along with it.

Jagex, I am two sided on this vote.
First, as was mentioned earlier, you got the Golden Joystick Award two years in a row WITHOUT having the old wildy and free trade. This shows that players liked the game the way it is, not necessarily the way it was.
I am for the free trade myself. I would like the ability to be able to give expensive items such as a Bandos Chestplate to my friends. However, I dislike pvp (I suck at doing pvp). I do not want the old wildy to come back, but, I see a reasonable compromise for most of this possable update.
I recommend bringing back the old wildy on some worlds, with a limit to what levels you can attack, exactly as it is now. Free trade itself should have poll, deciding whether to bring it back on every RuneScape world, or on certain worlds, which would probably be the old wildy worlds.
However, if this update passes in its current form, a agree with an earlier comment: Another vote should be taken three months after the update passes. That way, if the community wants it repealed, it will be.
Please take this post into consideration, Jagex staff, maybe there will be less argument an yelling at you if another approach is taken to what this possible update entails.

I can understand your point but like I said before, most of the things related to the current wildy are being relocated. So, I imagine that the old wildy will be mostly used for the reason of pking, mate. I would assume that mining rune ore, mage arena, chaos ele, Abyss, k*d and possibly clue scrolls will be the only reasons to go to the wilderness other than pking. So, it seems like you'll be grand with minigames and such.

A few crybabies? Err....90% are voting yes, so that appears to be more than a few. The few crybabies here would be people crying about it coming back because they "can't get to the Abyss/whatever without getting killed." The Abyss is fast exp but it's designed to be a risk to balance it. Kids like you have the game far too easy, wouldn't kill you to actually open your eyes and see that there are other ways to train that don't involve going into the wilderness. If you only want fast exp, then prepare to face a risk. Would be stupid to have a superior way to get exp in everything without there being any sort of risk. By entering the old wildy to go to the Abyss, you accept that you're also risking being pked in order to get better exp. If you can't deal with that risk, then go to something like the Astral altar where it's safe. You make it sound like you'll have to run through to level 56 wildy to get to Abyss, you go as far as level 6? That takes like 2 seconds and you could easily teleport out if you get attacked, assuming you aren't teleblocked. This game isn't all about letting you be babied by getting the fastest exp in a skill in an easy way, sometimes you have to accept that there are disadvantages to using a way to get fast exp and that you'll have to work. So either accept it or deal with it by training in a safer place rather than calling us crybabies and having a go at people wishing to have free trade and old wildy back. I used wildy agility course to train agility, if I can train in wild with pkers, you can too.

Both of you make me laugh...akiraa you just proved yet again that you have no knowledge of rs or the wild when you talked about green drags in lvl 21 wild...There are 4 locations where green drags are located in the wild. Theres on above edge west of the castle, one around lvl 18 in between edge and varrock wild, one around lvl 20 wild above varrock wild by giants, and the one most people who are idiots dont know about in lvl 5 wild in the cave above ge/east of edge...Thats the best place to run green and if you die in level 5 wild or below then frankly, you deserve to die. It's sad that you talk on here like you know something when you are ignorant and simple minded. I4gotkitty you need to go back a couple pages and read OhiImAstro who is an obvious knowledgeable, and intelligent player. There you will find your claims being laid to rest by an honest and well-versed player. Also, although I'm positive you're unaware kitty, Many more people than you think use the wild for pking-what it was created for...than for rcing. It's utterly astounding at how much you don't know about the wild and how ignorant you are being towards the much larger audience of pkers than you give credit for. I'm getting tired of ignorance and people just whining about all of the things in wild...there is rcing, a little mining, and some drags in wild**** addressed the clues dilemma,etc. and honestly, pkers don't accuse players in the game who enjoy other things of the insanites that people are saying about pkers.

Very nice bias against everyone wanting wildy back and prejudice there. ;) There are both players who are rude, crude and obnoxious wanting old wildy back and the same can be said, that there are also players who are not wanting wildy back yet are just the same. Being rude etc does not= wanting wildy back.
Me, I'm actually friendly and don't act disrespectfully to others or flame. I have debated my views, yes and I admit that I do often veer towards being a little more harsh towards people who have disrespectfully made a comment that would reflect to me. Such as someone saying that all old school players were nothing but scammers who didn't earn their money. Though, if people debate their point in a civil way, I'm far more than happy to be respectful like a gentleman. Anyway, have a nice day. Sorry for going off topic. =P

just a comment for those people saying the yes votes are people making accounts to vote... even if this is true, arent there people doing that on the no side too? and if they arent, this just shows that a) you are to stubborn to see the possiblity or b) the people voting yes feel much more strongly and therefor deserve it.

You need to add me man =). I feel like we connect on many issues and I think we could be good friends. I like many other facets of the game besides pking, I just loved that the most and I think we both have been playing long enough to have a good conversation(s) about really whatever we want lol. My name as im sure you know is f_l00t_i_K0 the o's are zeroes btw. hit me up I'm done discussing these topics with ignorant and unknowing, arrogant players who haven't played long enough to even merit an opinion on the matter.
