To above: People quitting => fewer people in Wilderness => fewer kills => less "stuff" for you.
-------------------------------
In the defense of Mainac Devil, I ask this:
How many F2Pers (or just players in general) have been with RuneScape long enough to know what the old Wilderness was like?
Answer: very few players, and nearly no F2Pers.
If anything, the only truly informed voters are players, like me, who are living time capsules from the old days. (I created this account in November of 2005.) ONLY VETERANS KNOW WHAT THE OLD WILDERNESS WAS LIKE, and certainly have a better idea than most of what things will be like if the old Wilderness is returned. Everyone else who hasn’t witnessed the old Wilderness and voted “Yes” has NO IDEA of the implications. IT’S LIKE VOTING FOR ONE CANDIDATE IN AN ELECTION BECAUSE YOU THINK THE OTHER CANDIDATE LOOKS UGLY. That is EXACTLY what is happening here.
Based on these facts, the only accurate vote would be allowing all accounts, F2P AND P2P, created before the removal of the old Wilderness to vote and barring all others. This would produce a clear picture as to whether removing the old Wilderness was the right thing since exactly ZERO VOTERS WOULD BE UNINFORMED about the realities of the old Wilderness. Veteran players would be able to make an objective decision as to which system is better. But, A MILLION UNINFORMED VOTERS, (literally) none of whom personally know what an unleashed Wilderness means, have been allowed to vote and DROWN OUT THE VETERANS’ VOICES.
I never thought the first vote was correctly executed. After reading my own words, I know that this second vote is also fundamentally flawed, and the heavily skewed results are showing this. I call for a more accurate vote and more details on the changes. (See my epic post on page 557.)

I am concerned that Jagex is not looking at all the angles. How many of the voters are scammers? Why are people so intent on free trade & PVP in the wild, aren't there enough options in the designated worlds for PVP? Makes one very suspicious of the voter's motives and how they are achieving such high voting numbers.
It would seem to me that if you are not satisfied with the PVP world's or fair trade arrangement then you are simply trying to take advantage of the game or weaker players.
The old Wilderness always reminded me of getting mugged, not something that I look forward to in life or in a game.
I hope that Jagex considers the extent to which those who intend to do harm to others will go in order to fascilitate that environment.

i feel the 8% that has voted no is trying to make excuses not to put the old wilderness... now if jagex is concerned about the voice of the 8% and not the 90% then theres a problem. since the 90% of the community wants the old wilderness... now the 8% of the people that voted no are just making up excuses for this not to happen... i suggest jagex to bring back old wilderness and continue this process since the 90% of the people already approved it...

God bless =)

There are to many parts to your post for me to cover every part. So I am only going to address a few.
RWT Bots, still exist. It still happens. So the fear of bot/rwt is a fear you should have now.
Getting rid of bots would be easy if players reported them every time they seen one. To do this Jagex should put a post on their home page that says something like this "Its your game, don’t let RWT and bots ruin it. Report bots and RWT today! Be a RS hero!" Have it up every day so people remember and see it**** is a community, and like any community we can work together towards a common goal. If only 20% of the people who play everyday would report bots; we wouldn’t have them in the game.
There was a trade window BEFORE free trade was taken away, you're from the old days so you should remember that. It happened not long before the update that stopped free trade. The value of the item was at the bottom of the window, and if you went over it told you. Or if they pulled the item at the last minuet it would flash red just like it does now, except the trade would go through no matter what the difference in price. That stopped A LOT of scamming.
As for scamming, it happens now all the time except now it happens on a larger scale. Merchant clans have messed with the price of just about everything including whips. I don’t know about you but paying 500K to 1 mill more then the whip is worth is a scam. We get scammed by GE manipulation all the time. Except it isn’t one or two of us, it is thousands of us.
They are keeping the GE if they go back to the old days. The GE will still be the place of selling and buying. It will also give people the an idea of what Jagex thinks an item is worth. I say Jagex because there are many times out there that are worth much more then GE price. So, players now junk trade.

Part 2___________________________________________________
I would say the people who are voting are informed. Many of the votes are from players that have been around and many are from people who have quit the game. How many F2P voted and where informed? Most of them. People who walked away from this game that did bother to vote again are F2P. Only two of my friends voted again, and they are both f2p at this time. ATM they have no reason to buy members.
Also, if you remember the old days then you remember the world 66 riot. It was the largest riot ever on rs, and it was over taking the wildy and free trade. People were not jumping up and down with joy, but a see a lot of people now are. There are a lot of people who are excited at the idea of it all coming back, and they are indeed jumping for joy.

GerbillusVII: Just wanted to say that all the posts you've posted so far are very well written and I easily agree with you on all of your points. Alot like my own posts on page 540 and the beginning of page 541, only your's goes into more detail. For that, I congratulate you!
Zaccharus: That is absolutely 100% the truth. It does seem very suspicious...
Silverblue45: The poll was fixed from the start. During the first poll you could just click the vote yes button. Nothing required. No pass, no username. Nothing. You could even type in names of friends' of your's or total strangers. It's likely that some also made accounts to boost the voting. The second poll was better, but not by much. The same "90% voted Yes. It's coming back." excuse is getting old. How do we even know that this is the actual number of people and not just a minority of a few thousand players boosting the votes? That's just it. We don't. We are not making "excuses". We are concerned about how this update will affect the community, for better or for worse.
"Legacy. What is a legacy? It's planting seeds in a garden you never get to see."
