People always complain because it's all about the "unsuspecting" players. When in reality, it is completely their fault for what happens to them and what they do. If you can't spot a scammer, then it is completely your fault and no one elses.
When i was much much younger and started playing this game, i never once had an issue with getting scammed. Because i read the rules and payed attention, like any new player should.
If anything, getting scammed and killed will help these players pay better attention and maybe learn a few things.

@Sir Viette It does provide useful statistics showing that people who voted yes were more passionate. You only believe because more people have voted than actually have it shouldn't be considered. This is what you mom and dad did because they had 3 votes to abort you but only 2 of them voting so, sadly you were born.

I fully agree and can relate to that, Mysttix!
Old RuneScape made you more cautious and made you learn from mistakes. No sugar-coating everything like todays RuneScape.
Bring back free trading and the wilderness means bringing back player independance and maturity. Younger and more naive players will learn in both game and real life what responsibility is all about.
Your item means your selling price and for what YOU want for it, not what Jagex or the majority of sales data collected (Grand Exchange) wants.
Wilderness brings high adreniline rushes and greedy players aboard. You risk to gain and gain to lose. You learn and change accordingly or begrudgingly.
