1)Removing trade restriction is an open invitation to scammers, botters, and RWTers. How will players (ESPECIALLY new players) be able to distinguish between a fair trade and a scam? What will be done to prevent scamming if the GE can’t? How will players determine the value of their items?
The way I see it, removing all limitations on GE trades also removes all indications of what is a scam and what is a fair trade. The GE calculates item prices based on the prices of trades, so inconsistent trades lead to inaccurate item prices. Without limits imposing consistency among trades, how could I expect and trust the GE to calculate a fair price for a given item? How could *I* calculate a fair price? Additionally, how will specific price information be delivered to players not at the GE?
To answer my own question to a small extent, THE GE MUST CONTINUE TO BE INTEGRATED INTO STREET TRADES as it is now. However, THE VALUES THE GE ASSIGNS TO ITEMS (however the GE is supposed to calculate such values) SHOULD ONLY BE SUGGESTIONS OR GUIDELINES to players; displayed to the players in a trade, but NOT IMPOSED AS HARD LIMITS as that would be against the idea of free trade.
2)How will RWTers and botters be controlled and dealt with? After all, RWTers and botters are operating fully within game mechanics, i.e. NOT hacking or exploiting bugs.
As far as I know, it always has been impossible to detect RWTers, so the only thing that can be done is to make it more trouble than it’s worth to RWT. Therefore, RETURNING THE O.W. AND FREE TRADE (which were originally put in place to stop RWTers) IS AN OPEN INVITATION TO RWTERS TO COME BACK and break the Rules again. What will be done to stop RWTers if the GE and Wilderness, the only measures put in place to hinder RWTers, are unleashed?
