Okay so I voted yes to free trade and wilderness. Please note this will bring real world money back into the game exc, exc. I still prefer it this way because personally the way you guys made runescape I know for a fact lost you guys A LOT of players. More so than bots, scammers and real world traders. I believe by allowing us to have that freedom back by your expense it beneficial to you in the long run with more players and a wider experience for ALL players. Soon to be new and old ones. I hope you keep it free trade and wilderness but I thought I'd tell you what you already know to let you know we the players already took that into consideration and the 90% of us don't care because thats what made the game in the 1st place. If you do take that freedom away from us again I can almost guarantee the game will go more down hill than it did last time and it will most likely not go back up like it will this ONE time.
This is me speaking for me and the 90% that voted yes. Thanks, and will be signing my membership back up, and will let my friends know about this and they'll most likely sign back up just from hearing about this.

I completely agree with Buzzbee505.
I quit 2 years ago. The game just felt so restricted. I get all my $ from WC or fishing. With that said even I rather the game it used to be.
I actually got myself members lastnight and have been playing. If Jagex doesn't deliver then I will just leave for another 2 years.
A LOT of my friends are also going to start playing as well;Easily 10.

Number of Joystick Awards prior to the 2007 change: 0
Number of Joystick Awards in the 3 years since the change: 2
Coincidence? I think not. The game was overrun with bots, scams, lures, etc. The game reached a point of practically being unplayable by any true gamers. By restricting areas of content that were highly abused, Jagex were free to focus on developing richer content and they were recognized for it. Moving backwards is backwards thinking.
It's amazing how the very petition to reintroduce these highly abused areas of content was rife with false votes. People were voting for themselves, their friends, strangers on the hiscores, etc. How ironic a that petition regarding highly abused content should itself be abused. :@
Meanwhile the second poll which requires a login, hasn't managed to hit 500k in four days. That's not exactly an impressive number. And check out some of the names listed as recent voters. Of the 15 displayed on the page, I only found 4 that were ranked. Only FOUR. Out of 15. Seriously? Yeah, talk about flooding the vote with newly created accounts.

as far as ive been told its all just a hoax anyway theres even a forum with a j mod confirming my friends have told me. i believe that if this is the case there will be a new record to put in the guiness book of records and thatll be the number of players to mass quit an online game at one time.

lol pretty funny seein you in here asassin , i agree with my fellow clan member/brother lol. as if jagex doesnt deliver, i will be quitting runescape, this loss of players will bring a loss of money to jagex as there will be a lot of members quitting me and him both play our $15 every month also our other 2 brothers and we have all agreed to quit if this promising update does not pull through from the ammount of yes votes there has been. theres 60 a month down the drain for jagex easily from just 1 household. ive spoken with a few of my friends from school etc. who play runescape also are willing to throw in the towel if it isnt delivered another $150 and counting or so lost a month. think about it jagex if this is a hoax you guys will be the ones losing money.

Although If I were a employee working for Jagex I'd want to know were players stood on this subject. 'Were this vote comes in handy' I voted 'NO' do to Rs gold sites. Botting plays a very big role in runescape and I'd hate to see the day of bots were everywere.

If pking comes back to the wildy and the revs go, then lol, lol, lol the wildy will be easier and pk loot will be lower than now.
Now if I want to hunt penguins, do clues or light beacons, I have to prepare for revs, because they attack anything regardless of whether you are carrying any tradeable wealth. If the old wildy comes back, well I can armour up with untradeables and the pker gets nothing.
Explorer ring, seers headband, falador shield, fremmick boots, varrock armour, Excalibur (enchanted better but doesn’t have to be), zannicks crossbow, skill cape – if I get pked I can get it all back cheaply, the pker will get nothing. It wont take long to get my dragon defender back, as long as I still have a rune defender in the bank. Go get your defenders people :)
Suggestions please of more untradeables, quest rewards I can take and not risk because I can talk to NPC and get them back – lol.
I can take extreme pots and the pker cannot take them. Clues are not tradeable – don’t open them or read them in the wildy – the pker gets nothing.
IN effect I will be risking very little except my time to get items back. But if it is obvious I am only wearing untradeables will the pker risk taking me on? Could I use korassis sword on him and turn the tables?
Let us have an anti-pk clan, a bit like the anti pk team in sc. We can build a strategy to advise all players who have to enter the wildy how not to risk their stuff. Pkers will be easier than revs, because revs attack regardless. Let us turn the tables and deprive the pking bullies of their unjust rewards.
Supporting Pking bullies is the wrong message to send to the community Jagex. I’m disappointed in you. But we can make sure if they mug us they get nothing of value and over time, once the lesson is learned they will be far less risk than the revs are now.
Oh now the pkers will get less reward than they do now, then they start crying for the new old wildy back lol lol lol.
:) :) :)

I voted No for a reason. What will this solve? Nothing. When this stuff comes back.. Jagex will have the same problems as they did when the old wildy was here, Scammers, Botters (yes I know theres a ton of them now) and RWT. They took away the wildy to prevent those, now bringing them back will bring all this back. This will only create problems, not solve any. If you do this you will be going back in time and recreating the problems you had in the past. As for trade limit.. I enjoy helping friends in need so I would say to increase the limit to say 1-2M. Anything over that and your probably trading banks from diff accounts. As for wildy, I don't really care either way because I dont PK, but it will bring problems. And to those people who say gtfo your a noob you dont know the old wildy. Yes, I was around, I remember it.
Anyways thats my opinion,

I agree with this idea , sounds like a perfect plan to kick start the good old days again.
I have been playing runescape since RSC days (for 10yrs!) and have been through the ups and downs, I also have been through sooo many updates in regards to PvP.
In regards to botting, bots will always exist ... even now that free trading has been limited and wilderness removed , the botters and RWT are still at large and scamming is not abolished as there are ways in which players have been able to transfer gold across. Clue scrolls were still around when wilderness was there , and for clues you should be willing to take the risk as the reward will always outweigh the risk or you can always 3 item and risk nothing :)
Free tradeing was also a great thing since players with good marketing tactics could use thoes skills to gain a few profits here and there. Since the removal of free trade , the dueling arena has pretty much died out which is kinda sad because it was packed with duelers of all sorts.
Legendery Pkers like "3 hit u" will also be tempted to rejoin rs along with many of the older players that quit which will boost the runescape economy and will also provide more funds for the game via memberships which inturn will go into making the game even better! i say its a win win ***uation :)
Increasing P-mod number and giving them like a temp ban (3 days or so ) privilages may help to combat botters/scammers/players behaving in a odd fashion :)
I say YES to bringing back Free trade/WIlderness! hope we win!!
