The free trade, supply and demand argument is great from my perspective. In real life I'm a MAJOR supporter of willing buyers and willing sellers controlling the economy, so if it can work in RS that's great. I initially thought that was what the GE would do. But merchant scum quickly schemed to cut off supplies and raise prices, both of which are extremely galling to me. So if this has the effect of killing off merchers I'll be ecstatic.
And if I never have to hear about the concept of junk trades again it will be too soon. The thought of someone owning 50 thousand needles or something just makes me ***, though it really doesn't affect me at all.
But I'm afraid I just don't see that with Jagex's recent style of running things, this "poll" being a perfect example, that they can be trusted to solve the obvious bot and RWT problems created by going back to unlimited trades.

I am just hoping that they're not faking this, just to win another prize at the world records log book. We've seen several rumors and we've seen Jagex promise the good people of Runescape too much that they couldn't give, so let's just face it in January 2011 and see what the result will be, I, myself, have voted for yes and I would even donate for the project to see Jagex remake the Runescape that got me into this 10 years ago, back when I was a child, sitting home, enjoying the good feeling of Runescape, along with the old poor 2d graphic. The graphic and the rough feeling of not getting scammed or lured. That was a part of real Runescape, not the safety crap we're dealing with now. Every MMOPRG game deserves to have unfair benefits for some players. Botters shall not be honoured, and they shall not be shown mercy for when getting caught at the action, but having old wilderness with free trade limits for any use, that's a part of what Runescape really was, what Runescape got known for. A beautifull thing to think of actually.

one thing i have to say is that there is already 1.5 million votes already and theres never more than 200,000 people online so if it doesnt get passed than thats really stupid. we have already won the vote from what i can see so just go ahead and change the game so i can play it. its not good at all the way it is

btw if you want to make it more chalanging add more high level monsters with better drops for crying out loud.

but we have more then enough with revs in the wildy enough as it is.

what is going to happen to an unlucky players *hat has to go to the wildy for slayer task because vannaka sent them there.
i use the shilo guy it does not matter to me really and if i have enough slayer points if i do not like it i can always cancel.
but there are others that do not even want to quest and do vannaka's tasks. khanbibi madskills admin

Revs are not enough imo. In these 3 years I think a rev killed me only once, and only because I forgot to grab food.
And I almost survived it tbh.

They will lose 80% of their players if it is a fake.

As I just said, if they weren't sure they could handle it they wouldn't do this. Remember, they lost alot over this, they had credit card companies threatening to cut off service (meaning jagex would lose 80% revenue) So they had no choice.
They don't want that to happen again, they are taking action in rl and in game.
Other than that, I agree with you last post. I have always wondered: How the heck does anyone get 5m in crap?

Khanbibi, it's a part of the game. Even back then when the old player killing was avaible in the wilderness area, you would get attacked no matter what you did in the wilderness, just like you're getting now while running around in PvP, using your brawling gloves.
It was normal to get attacked while doing anything else than killing other players in the wilderness, if we take your slaying for example, you didn't suggest on the forums to remove the wilderness due to the players who get's killed while raising slayer.
