So from what I understand from Mod Mark, it is a done deal and will be happening. Just some of the details havent been decided yet.
Makes the whole thing a farce, and in my opinion very underhand in the way it is being done.
Would have been more fair if they had just said this is happeneing, live with it.
No matter what happens there will be a lot of people unhappy. I would suggest that this new anti bot technology was rolled out first. If players could see it working then more might be in favour. Unless the real issue is how much money these bot accounts generate for Jagex. And the issue is trying to tempt back some old players before they roll it out. Some of them may come back, however some (quite a lot i would say) of current players might just leave.
I hope that Jagex are actually reading these comments and not just allowing a place for players to have a rant.
Lastly for the players that love spamming the chat and trying to demean others saying you dont remember how it was. I do remember how it was and do look at the insertion of PVP worlds inparticular as a good balance. If you want to kill players go to one!!!!

Firstly, let me assure you that we absolutely listening, reading and watching all the feedback with interest.
Also, not voting does give an indication.
Now, on to your concerns;
- The voting is rigged in the favour of those who want to have the Free Wilderness + Free Trade back. It makes no sense to not use a pass system because players have the ability to put up mine, yours and the names of others.
= There are some restrictions in place and we are aware of players feedback on this issue. We wanted to make this poll available to everybody.
Do keep in mind that even if you did have to log in, those who wanted to skew results would simply create new accounts to do so.

- The lack of a no button worries me. Sure, we can post our thoughts on the forums but our voices will not *really* be heard against the numbers of those voting yes.
= Your voices really *will* be heard, this is something we are monitoring and reading VERY carefully. In addition, not voting does show an indication as well as voting.

- After the removal of The Wilderness + Free Trade, I was dissatisfied but at the same time I understood the reasoning behind the removal and the changes. It took alot of updates to get where we are now. A Grand Exchange System, Bountyhunter as a minigame/activity replaced by Bounty Hunter Worlds (Wilderness or Whole Map + One iteming or non) and restricted trades set on certain values that go up based on questachievement.
Is it really worth being so disrespectful towards the developers who devoted their time to an alternate solution, to put this all down the drain?
= This is certainly not putting any developers work down the drain and besides this is about player choice more than developer ego.
We made those changes because we had to, we now feel that we can put things back but we wanted to give the choice to the player base.

- No. Absolutely not. This is about giving players the choice for something that we know was a big change to the game
Then why was it there?don't deny it, I saw it,many others saw it,and I bet there are sceenshots.

2. Will it change anything?
- It depends on what people vote! If we do feel it is a overwhelming "YES PLS" then it will change. If not, it won't.
But the voting thing isn't fair at all,you don't need pw's,so for all I know there has been a vote made in my name.Please explain!
= We're aware of this and hopefully there will be an official response soon. There are restrictions in place however.
4. Why aren't the votes verified? Is this an oversight?
- I currently don't have an answer for this yet.

We appreciate all the feedback on this issue.
Firstly, this isn't a scam or anything to do with Guinness World Records.
Secondly, Phase 2 should begin soon and this will include a clear "No" option.

Oh? And just how would you respond if there was only a button to vote for it NOT to come back? That boycotting was the only way to say you want it back...

Jagex, please don't listen to the people who want to vote no. If you think about it they're voting for TINY reasons which is actually really selfish. For example they insult you by saying you'd totally forget about clan wars and the corperal beast when i'm sure you'll come up with easy solutions by either moving them or just making a teleport to inside the corperal lair.
Please don't listen to the selfish minority, they are either full time skillers (who miss out on the best part of the game), botters or people in merch clans. Thanks.

P.S to any idiots thinking prices will go up, iteams stay in the game when you kill someone instead of leaving the game. Therefore the prices will go down.
Summary to the people who cbf reading the thread: The only people who want to vote no are botters or merchers. Obviously all pkers are in favour of this update and it doesn't effect PvM'ers or skillers. So only botters / merch clans want to vote no.
Also it's been confirmed that all non PvP activities will be taken out of the wildy so don't try that pathetic reason.

I wouldn't whine, because I would realize the majority didn't want it back, it has over 1.4million people in 36 hours, sure maybe multiple voting with 1 account/other accounts are being used, but that should show how badly people want it back that they have to go into those measures, wise up people!!!
seriously, if that many people want it back it should tell you that it is indeed awesome!!!
I'm willing to bet that if it was set to be verified, that the yes would outweigh the no 3 to 1, fair would be no newly created accounts being able to vote, they have to been on runescape for 1 month or more, and im certain that the yes would still win even that way.
