I am totally in favor of bringing back the original Wilderness AND Free Trade. For all of you who don't agree with returning free trade, hear me out.
We have all been scammed before, yes? Of course we have.
However, we as players NEED to learn from our mistakes! In the real world, people are scammed all the time. It is our job to recognize our faults, and to act accordingly by not repeating them!
Furthermore, with the bright flashing red exclamation points, in addition to the not one, but TWO trading review screens, it is impossible for CAUTIOUS player to be scammed!
Admit it guys and gals, you were scammed because you didn't take the time to READ your screens. You were so excited about receiving your first "Rune" scimitar that you immediately clicked 'Accept' without a glance. (I know I did.)

When you rode your first bike without training wheels, did you fall? Most of us would say we did. We would also say that, without a doubt, we were overwhelmed with joy when we pedaled down that pavement for the first time, flawlessly. Now imagine if those training wheels were NEVER removed. Would you ever learn to ride that *ike by yourself?
You would be so content with those training wheels that even the thought of taking them off would seem stupid. I mean, you're so used it now, why make a change?
EVERYONE has forgotten the FREEDOM that RuneScape's trading system once had. Do you recall when Trade Limits first came out? There was an outrage! Riots were held in Varrock Square! Over time though, we all got accustomed to the limits, forgetting what we once held dear. Would this be the first time? Of course not.
Recall when the RuneScape Font was changed. How about the God Sword animations? The menu tabs? You may believe that these updates were simply 'minor', but a minor update here and there, and RuneScape could be a totally different game. DO your own due diligence...stop depending on the 'STATE' to protect you.

The freetrade will work if the GE stays in place and if the wealth transfer bar stays in place. There's been times where I wanted to help a friend by giving him/her 500k+ worth of fish, logs, gold, or armor and couldn't due to trade limits. If the GE stays in place with freetrade, the GE can set the fair market value like it does now and the trade window can show wealth transfers so players can make informed decisions on weather or not to trade. In this way new players won't be scammed cause they would know the GE price of item and the older players who want to help friends by giving free stuff can.

I think having seen that "art" for like the 50th time now, I finally understand what it's supposed to be depicting. Is it when that lowlife jumped up onstage at the Grammies and snatched the mike from the real winner to advocate after the fact for a loser? It kinda looked a bit... naughty until I figured it out (if I have). Like someone REALLY thanking Jagex profusely, if you catch my drift. But if it's what I now believe it is... how appropriate:
Rude. No class. After the fact. Too late. Advocating for a loser.
By all means keep spamming it. It is a perfect visual representation for the pro-reversionist faction. Since Jagex to all appearances has already decided to do this, I'm sure this thread will have no impact whatsoever, but anyone who even skims a significant part of the thread can easily see the difference in maturity levels, logic and, lets face it, class of the two sides.
I'm not going to be the least bit interested in hearing complaints from all you supporters a month after this is implemented; we've told you what the results will be. And no doubt most of you will claim you didn't "vote" for it....
