Fredup, why are you still on this thread? I've seen your name several times each time I check to see if anything interesting is on here. What do you know about the old ways of runescape? Judging by your stats you haven't even been playing long enough to begin to understand what it was like. So stop whining and complaining about something you have little reality of knowing about.

i wouldn't mind having a world where the wilderness is safe, well not safe but like it is now. (like bounty worlds now but in reverse) maybe even your trade limits disapear after you have been on the game for a certain period of time/level to get rid of scammers (in hope that you learn enough to be able to avoid scammers)

That's the same excuse that all you sore losers have. "The vote was rigged." How was it rigged, huh? You sore losers could also create multiple a*counts to vote "no.", am I to take it that no one did? If so, prove that none of you no-ers didn't create multiple accounts to vote for no. I'm sure that some of you felt strongly enough about it to do so. I mean, obviously if you claim that yes-ers are doing that, then no-ers are doing the exact same in order to get their point across.
Please just stop being such a sore loser. Yes is a majority, just accept it and deal with it already. Build a bridge and get over it. Many of us older players had to deal with the changes that cheapened our hard earned skills and made everything easier, effectively a slap in the face on what we worked to earn. We had to accept it and deal with it, so it's fair to expect you post trade limit players to do the same. It could now be your turn for you to accept that some changes might come and make some things harder again**** on easy mode may be over.
The first poll counts for nothing now, we're onto a referendum which will determine what happens. If more people vote no than voting yes, then huzzah, no free trade.

"so you admit in the first vote i could not even select no? "
Which is why the poll got changed. C'mon bro, can't you even
think logical yourself? We're no longer at the old poll, you can vote "No" now, so do it and stop complaining. Your arguments seem to make no sense, and your posts are impossible to read without even thinking "what did he just write?"
Thanks for reading,
~Arch

For those who say botters and RWT will happen. Botters will always happen. regardless of free trade or without wildy so i dont understand how that works to your benefit?. and as well RWT will always happen. Trade limit or no trade limit. And it doesnt affect your gameplay at all so dont worry about it. I for one missed the old wildy. Only cause i dont like it now how people 77k and how they get extra rewards for killing people. Thats not how PK was and should be. As for free trade i dont really like any of the fixed prices just because the G.E. price could be less or more than street price. and most people in RS have always gone for street price. And so that way you dont need lets say 15m junk.... Plus. I miss W2 Fally. :) Bring everything back! ive known so many kids that quit cause of the new things we have now. But once they are back everyone that quit will play again without a doubt. Its how runescape has always and should have always been!
Thank You.

Fred, give up man. You have no argument. You're just a little noob trying to talk with the big men. You havent been playing runescape long enough to have a voice in this matter. You're lvl 95ish and you dont know what old runescape was like, so go back to pest control and get a few more combat levels before you come back.

Dear runescaspe users
I don’t know how many of you remember 2007 that well but back then Runescape was over-run with bots and RWT this is a fact so Jagex decided that the fastest way to kill half of these was to get rid of wilderness, free trade and staking in the duel arena this was a very unpopular decision and lost Jagex a lot of players
But despite people threatening to leave Jagex stated that regardless of how much opposition there was they would not be reintroducing the wilderness or free trade.
I respect Jagex for this because instead of seeing the small picture and worrying about the people that might leave and the lost revenue, Jagex could see the big picture and believed this was for the good of the community and was well worth the risk.
Now Getting rid of the wilderness and free trade required several updates including the Grand Exchange which was realised on the 26 November 2007 and revolutionised the way trade worked.
Instead of standing around for hours typing offers/ hoping someone would trade with them people could now teleport to Varrock and walk to the grand exchange and place an offer knowing that they would be added to a list and receive there items as soon as enough sellers were found.
This made selling and buying items a lot faster and let people spend more time doing the thing’s they loved.
Between 2007 and the modern day Jagex have also realised many activities where people can attack one another such as
Bounty Hunter, Castle Wars , Duel Arena, a player-owned house's combat ring or Dungeon, Stealing Creation, a PvP World or Bounty World, Soul Wars, Clan Wars, Fist of Guthix, and the TzHaar Fight Pits.
Which should give anyone enough playing killing options and helped to earn back some of the people they lost In the past.
carried on , on the next post
