I think it would be a great idea to bring the Free trade back.
Although, Along with the theory everyone is coming up with, about how Jagex is using this vote is irrelevant.
Such theory's:
"Jagex is only using this to get in the genuise of world records book!"
(Which we did get into the book)
But this was more of a bonus for Jagex, the way i look at it.
They wanted to see if the majority of players wanted the free trade back and wilderness (I do), and they ended up getting a ton more votes then expected in one day. And i'm sure,
Jagex knew the majority of players wanted these great things back. So the genuise of world record theory is irrelevant. Also this should be a little less satisfying to you, because i have talked to alot of players and they confirmed they voted numerous times (300's and 400's of times) :@

Also, i do not think Jagex would lie to there players just to get into the genuise world records book. It would make people quit more then the amount how quit when the Wilderness was taken away in the first place! So in all, im hoping we will get free-trade back and that Not many will abuse it. We are allready at 1.3million votes ^_^

I've never seen a thread with so much cut and paste repetetive spam! Those of you doing it are simply making your side of the argument look weaker.
Dansup-- I suppose green dragon botters might argue against this change, but reverting to free trade allows botters to transfer their ill-gotten wealth from their disposable bott account to their "real" account, or to someone else's (i.e. Real World Trading). The huge incentive to botters if this should happen is exactly why I'm AGAINST unlimited trades.
And I have wanted scum merchers who manipulate GE prices and availability to be snuffed out of existence since they began, probably 5 minutes after the GE was introduced. But there would seem to be more direct and better ways to eliminate them than this. I don't even see how this would affect them, TBH, but I'm no economic genius. The fact that they've arisen since trade limits and new wildy does not imply cause and effect. The GE caused merchant scum, and changes to the GE are not under discussion now, are they?
In summary, your description of opponents of this "plan" is completely inaccurate. They seem the more mature players to me.

I played for like 1 and a half to 2years after the trade laws and wilderness pking were taken away from us.
Throughout that 2 year period of time i was "quitting" time and time again. If this vote does go through all worlds should have the wilderness and trade laws how they were.
The old style pking system meant, you get what you pk.
None of this whole go AFK while your EP charges come back and get 1m+ loot.
Will you bring staking back too?
And will you be keeping the grand exchange?
Hope to hear more information about the vote.
Thanks

You have got to be kidding on this "Vote".
most disgustingly
THERE IS NO VALIDATION FOR VOTES !!
all it requires is a player name, any player name to add to the votes. What if someone was to vote using your name and your opposed to it, up goes the counter and someone has fraudulently faked the results with a player that could have been opposed to it. There is no control here at all. How could this possibly be conceived as proportional representation ?!?!
you can only vote yes, and even if you don't someone can *se your name to vote yes anyway.
I would also like to know if there is protection against the counter going up if the same name is put in again, i noticed that you can just use back on your browser and then click vote yes again. Ok it doesn't add your name to the list again but does it count as another yes "vote".
The thing that scares me the most about this is the fact that the high scores are publicly available so there is 2 million names in the overall list, it would be ridiculously easy to write a script to screen scape all of the names from the high scores using the ranking feature and then to submit them in to the one sided "vote yes for the wilderness".
How exactly are we meant to boycot this anyway ?? stop playing ??, we cant stop other people voting, even with the names of those opposed to it. And we cant vote no so our voices don't get heard.
