I didn't know an official thread for this topic existed; since it wasn't where they usually are I figured its absence was just one more fishy element in this apparently rigged "poll." As a result, I'm coming here after 350 pages of posts. I honestly tried to read or even just scan 350 pages, but I just can't. I'm sorry. Please if someone who has been following this thread for a while could answer some general questions/impressions I have:
1) In the few pages of this thread I was able to get through it seems apparent that people in favor of this idea are by no means a majority.
2) I believe Jagex puts somewhat more confidence in the opinions of Mods than regular players and P-mods (or F-mods) seem to pretty much universally agree with me and many other players that, regardless of the merits/demerits of the idea at issue, the "voting" process was designed in such a way that no rational person could possibly conclude it was designed to produce an accurate read of player opinion. Sorry, but for many reasons already pointed out by others it is OBVIOUS that it was designed to produce the result that this reversion to old policies is greatly desired by the players.
3) The only posts by J-Mods I've seen adamantly refuse to address the voting process itself (again, I haven't seen most of the thread) which again inevitably leads a rational person to conclude the "poll" is designed exactly the way Jagex intends.
Can someone tell me if my impressions are off base? Also, posters have claimed only one vote per account is possible. Doable perhaps, but hard to believe since login isn't required. Others are proudly bragging they're casting multiple fraudulent votes. Has anyone established yet factually which of these two groups of posters is lying, since they're mutually exclusive? Not to mention that the poll encourages people to create new accounts for the sole purpose of casting multiple votes.
Thanks for any help in catching me up to speed with the critical issues.

Jagex, please don't listen to the people who want to vote no. If you think about it they're voting for TINY reasons which is actually really selfish. For example they insult you by saying you'd totally forget about clan wars and the corperal beast when i'm sure you'll come up with easy solutions by either moving them or just making a teleport to inside the corperal lair.
Please don't listen to the selfish minority, they are either full time skillers (who miss out on the best part of the game), botters or people in merch clans. Thanks.

P.S to any idiots thinking prices will go up, iteams stay in the game when you kill someone instead of leaving the game. Therefore the prices will go down.
Summary to the people who cbf reading the thread: The only people who want to vote no are botters or merchers. Obviously all pkers are in favour of this update and it doesn't effect PvM'ers or skillers. So only botters / merch clans want to vote no.
Also it's been confirmed that all non PvP activities will be taken out of the wildy so don't try that pathetic reason.

This would be a great way for jagex to control the people that are useing the wilderness to 76k trick with each othr and go and get ep then trick again. In 2007 the wilderness was a place for pkers that enjoyed to pk and it still is but the fact of the mater is that skillers and non pkers have been abuseing the bounty hunter system by tricking and nothing else and by this cause an infation in the economy.

I have played runescape for many years and i keep coming back every now again to see how its progressing, one of the main reasons i stopped playing was the free trade limit, im sure many people will agree that it was the most stupid solution to stopping hackers as it was making everyone suffer rather then just the hackers? Wheres the ability to lend a friend and hand now when they need to borrow some money quick? i think that the return of the free trade limit would be a big hit for Jagex and it would most likely increase their user count. so i vote YES to the return of free trade (Y) it will bring back the good old runescape that i miss! :)

@dansum i am not what you think ok.it is high time you start talking to others with more respect then you already have.

but anyway you do not have respect for yourself either.
i am not a child i am an adult that plays rs.

@too others the vote was one sided and totally unfair.
so i did not vote and do not care to unless they have a no button too.

it was abad idea to have voting taken place when it was a one sided vote. khanbibi madskills admin

I say we get free trade back but keep the wilderness as it is, because there is clan wars, pvp worlds, and bounty hunter worlds that are way better then the old wildy, what if someone wishes to go to fist of guthix but they get killed along the way, the wilderness is bad enough with reverants, I think we should keep free trade because what if u wish to give an expensive item to a friend before you quit the game rather then hacker coming and getting it.
