The uproar that the possibility of this change is causing is almost laughable. Way too many people are getting on to rant and rave about how this is going to 'destroy their game experience' or something. Yes, bringing back the old wilderness will make things more difficult. Yes, bringing back free trade will greatly influence the cost of items. And if you just plain don't like it, i can understand that. But people, please don't go around misinforming people with your fears.
Point #1: The grand exchange is going nowhere. For everyone who has voted, before you did there was presented a list of what would change. Specifically relating to the GE, all that will change is the restrictions of the maximum, minimum, price floor and ceiling numbers.
Point #2: 'free trade sucks just look at the us economy with people out of work'. That answer is simple. The reason the U.S. economy is in the tank is because of government involvement. Yes, there will be recessions, just as surely as there will be a low tide. That is the way Economics Work! The implementation of price limits, floors, and ceilings is what made the GE the hulking, item destroying monster it is today. Personally, I'd be perfectly happy if they kept the trade limit, but just removed the limiters on the Exchange, so item prices could actually fluctuate to what they are worth.
Point #3: Yes, the wilderness will be dangerous. It Is Supposed To Be. Period. Just because you will have to deal with a lot more risk means nothing if you are a smart player. Back in 2005, I spent oodles of time in the wilderness. I was lv 45, and I never killed one other person. Yes, it can be done, but that is unrelated.
Point #4: I am not a pker, nor a skiller. I am simply someone who plays the game and chooses to not focus on one area, but instead trains Every skill. Thus flamers can leave their arguments at home.
Lastly, and most importantly, Runescape is a GAME. remember that. It is recreation. Nothing more.

@johney
agreed.
the no votes are so low that the yes votes dont even matter fake or not. so why even make such a stupid argument. they just want to fight about it. and if its true then why didnt all those no voters just do the same and make a bunch a fake acc. to vote no. bc thats all ive been hearing about is how 99% of the yes votes are fake acc. well why in the heck couldnt the no ppl do the same??

To me, bringing back pking is all that matters and im glad we have a chance to vote on getting it back.
When it was removed, we had no warning, no vote, no petition, no referendum. Nothing.
It was a drastic change that had to be made in order to keep the game running for the years to come. Now that Jagex feels they can combat the previous problems, they want to see how many people want the game to return to how it was during its golden age.
Pking, will only occur in the wilderness. You have the ENTIRE game for skills, quests, minigames, pvm, and other things. whats wrong with the wilderness returning to how it was when the clear majority loved it?

Im excited about this and i think this will bring back very much old players. Its very good update but how about those botters who bots many accounts at the same time and give all moneys to their main account. They will get millions of gp in hour. Im worried about that, this may ruin runescape...

Fortissimus,
I think you are right, they just added most of the old votes to the updated poll.
and like Fortissimus and many other players on the first few pages said:
STOP TRYING TO FIX THINGS THAT AIN'T BROKEN.
STOP TRYING TO FIX THINGS THAT AIN'T BROKEN.
STOP TRYING TO FIX THINGS THAT AIN'T BROKEN.
