I've been playing this game since a long time ago, I have most of the Holiday items like the Zombie Head etc.
After the removal of wildy and free trade everything changed, people got rich easily by "Merching clans" ..yes the ones the autoers spam you to join in GE.
By getting a huge amount of people to buy a huge amount of items like Air Runes and not sell them, making the demand for Air Runes to go up (Making the Prices go up) Then selling them and making money by simply sitting there. I'm tired of people having Billions by simply telling their clan chat what to buy.
Easy to say, the prices were manipulated beyond belief.
So I for one would be happy to have the old RS back. And all these people that are panicking trying to sell their junk because it will be useless, You had it coming.

As I only started playing in early 2008, I have never been in the "Old Wildy" but I have heard about it and I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.
As for the free trade, I think that there should simply be no limits on friends trading. That way, A kind level 60 (this is not my first account) such as myself can give my lower-levelled friends better armour and the like without them having to get a load of quest points first. I also think that the Grand Exchange should stay as it is.

I have been playing RS since the summer of 2001 and have seen the game go through many many changes over the years. Things like the removal of the black hole experience, the switch from RS Classis to RS 2, the changing of the original 3 hit combat system, the good ole times when u used to be able to challenge people to a duel any time any where in the game, heck I remember when spells used to be denoted by little flying blue astrics and range attacks by little green ones. The change of the removal of pking is the one thing that gave me reason to quit. At the time I beleive that Jagex did do the right thing because of botting situation, but it has been quite clear that they have been trying to figure out someway to bring back that pvp risk and reward portion of the game. Starting with bounty hunter, clan wars and pk worlds, which were all ok but no where near a sufficient substitute for old pking. Now to the current jacked up version of the wilderness that gives people rewards based on how long they have been in the wildy and if they suck at pking and just keep dying well then they are even more likely to get rewarded when they finally get a lucky hit. So it has finaly come full circle and Jagex is offering to bring back that wonderful thing that was taken from us. I just have this to say to the naysays who complain about scammers. Its very simple really, 1- Don't take your rare crap or noted items up in the wildy and 2- Pay attention to whats going on the the trade screen. In my opinion if you are not intelligent enough to catch on something is wrong when they ask you to come into the wildy to trade or by all the flashing lights and exclams when something is changed in the trade screen then you probably should get scammed.

Dark pwnes and few others i actually agree with here.Runescape shouldn't be just for one type of player*The Pker*.But, for all different types of players and for all different ages.So, runescape can move forward and also give all it's players, what they really want,the game play that is uniquely designed for them.
We all should get the runescape play we *ant and enjoy.For me, i want a runescape with no wildy and free of being pked.And others,they want the runescape, where they have the thrill of pking.Why can't we all have our cake and eat it too?We can.
I have played world 54 most all my stay here and played 8 to 9 years and the server there we all know each other like family.We all would love to have free trade.But, like Dark pwnes said,you will get some players back,but you will lose real players,and gain botters.
Another thing, if it's all about botting and selling of runescape items&gold.Why doesn't Jagex open a armor store and sell stuff, like every other game does???I know, i would gladly cough up $$ to buy some of my favorite armor to wear..It's were a lot games pull in revenue and not by simply charging a members fee(which Jagex still can) but selling exclusive items also..If runescape is moving forward why are they trying to fall back..

Honestly, I can't wait for pking to come back, it was the best thing about this game, people who say they don't want it back either never had the experience of pking back in the day or was one of those more "unfortunate lure victims". How you couldn't want it back is beyond me. Anyways I vote yes to bring them both back.
