dark. i expect the majority of the votes were people from the old days.because people nowadays are too afraid of there overly simple means of getting money going away. not just that, but way to exaggerate. millions of bots? :L lol

Actually the return of free trade and the wildy will help level prices of items out. People are worried about bots making everything worse. Right now prices vary so much because the bots have to sell everything they obtain through skills. But when there was free trade they didn't sell everything because people would buy not just gold from people but also items. If free trade is brought back bots may increase in number but the prices will level out. And to all those people out there that say they get scammed: LOOK AT THE SCREEN BEFORE YOU CLICK ACCEPT!

I have played since around 2003-2004(not on this account but through quite a few different ones threw the years) and I was very disappointed when the wilderness and free trade were taken away from us.
While this may have been only a slightly effective way to combat botters.I still don't think it was worth it. I miss pking with my old friends that left the game cause they didn't have the thrill anymore.
I also used to help people out all the time with whatever I could because I was also helped out by members in the community.
For example when my main account was stolen a good friend of mine convinced me to start up a new account and gave me 1 mil to start it off with and helped me get any other training equipment I needed. I wasn't trading him for anything in real life he was just honestly helping me out and i would do the same thing for him or any of my other grood friends,but without free trade I wouldn't be able to offer them but about 10k to help start them out when I would
kill to be able to give them much more.
Also while clan wars is great and I love it to death. It doesn't capture the feel of the old wilderness and it would be so great to have both as well as the safe free for all portal as well. Which I have to say the safe and dangerous portals were a good try but still not the same.
For those of you that don't understand why we want this back,please understand PKing is like a tradition for the most of us. When me and my group of friends wanted to get together and celebrate something on RS we used to plan pking trips for fun and they were the best times i've ever had on this game,and I cannot wait to be back out there doing again.I'm sorry for my lengthy message,Thank you all who read this.

jagex i for one think your doing an amazing job by giving the players a choice, me and a couple of friends quit awhile ago becouse we did not like the changes, i think i speak for all pkers when i say we all play online games for the rush of making your character amazing and testing him out vs other players the right way, the changes completely took away that rush of trying to get that characters item, yes it helped scaming, bots, and hackers but theres no fun anymore... i quit a while ago and me and my friend look back at your website and was SO shocked when i saw that jagex might bring back old times, and i bet people will love the the old runescape back, ive been reading some of the comments and i get that there worried about this change with bots and all, but i think you should take the chance... and you have my vote and i will convince every one i know to comeback to the good old days where runescape had a rush and a purpose to play... you have my vote for every back to what it use to be. :)
