I think that the old wild and ways of free trade are the only ways that runescape is fun, since they have been removed i get on maybe once a month. Sure you've got scammers and botters to worry about, but if your not doing it, it shouldn't concern you. We've all been scammed, a time or 2, ( me more than i can count ), but all that does is make you a more aware player, if you remember the rune to iron scim scam, it didn't take a week before everyone knew to avoid it, and to start to inspect the scim before purchase, so really we all might have lost 30K but we it made us inspect our trades good before we completed them.
And who doesn't miss the old wilderness? I think everyone does at leaste a little, when Jagex removed it and gave us Bounty Hunter as a replacement, I couldn't have been more disappointed. All that BH did was create an ideal PKing area for clans to prey on people out there actually trying to PK. Now we have the new style BH Worlds, and if you ask me they are just as garbage as the original BH. Lets say you find someone with full Saradomin out in lvl 40 wildy, and you kill him, your drop will be effected by your ep%, you might go through all the trouble of killing him just to find that your ep is only 22%, what a waste of time.
Anyways I guess the point I'm trying to make, is that.... the best years of runescape (for me) was when i use to get lured into the wildy and would loose my armor, and i had to merchant to get the cash to then, stand around and wait for someone to be selling, instead of just running to the G.E. and putting my request in there.
