Except in this case, what they are trying to fix is not just broken. It's broken, been trampled on by a few hundred thousand angry ex-players and then had 60,000 memberships cancelled over it (which is 210 thousand pounds in loss or jagex).
Ps It's funny how everyone bangs on about scamming returning. Where nowadays, with all the anti scam precautions in place, if you are stupid enough to get scammed you should be in an asylum having your dribble wiped up by people in scrubs.

and LOL to the people who reacon they are going to quit because of this ..if you didnt quit after the climbing boots scandal then stop talking rubbish because that was the single greatest reason to and yet here we are still playing ..just like its been said 100 times or more in this thread ..we eventually accept the changes to the game and get on with it

To the ignorant fools: Omg wow, scamming doesn't exists... there are hundreds of ways to find out the actually price of an item... and wouldn't Jagex put the thing that tells you how much the item(s) are worth in the trade box??

yes it says item value at the bottom of the trade window, and if anything in the other persons offer gets taken away a massive red exclamation mark flashes over it. So to be honest it's fairly impossible to get scammed now and if you do get scammed after the update you're so stupid you deserve it haha.

Firstly go train some stats thank you. Secondly, yes there are still bots and rwt's but with the trade limits and the g.e and all that it has gotten harder for those people to do so. Bring back the free trade and I can bet you that there will be at lest 10b rwt within the first 12 hours. Bring back wildy and people can "fake pk" and get money from drops.
Oh wow maybe ill go into the wildy and kill a level 3 with 50m and call it a coincidence?
I stand by my point, Nobody can trust a company that goes back on there word.

the only scamming that exists today is the merch clans price manipulation..once free trading comes in then this shouldnt really be a probly as you can just say to to there high prices and go to someone who'll sell it cheaper..the forums can be used quite efficiently in this way..so LOL to the merch clans guess your already billionaires anyway so you probly dont care but still your reign is finished
