When I log in a BH world, I see pures everywhere.
I dont like fighting pures (as they always ask me to take of armour... or no eating... I never listen to them, so they always run... gah!), and would rather like people who pk on their mains, as they are risking more.
When the wildy comes, pures are going to be everywhere, the ppl who dont wanna risk their main accounts. Wheres the danger in that? A pure can be easily made in a few days, while a main is worked on for the whole time youve played RS. I dont wanna PK ppl who arent brave enough to actually risk their stuff.

Many pures risk. If your main is at the lvl where you're fighting pures who risk nothing, you should lvl up. If you are up against 99/99/1 pures, then you should have the advantage, and smite gives you a shot at whip.
Making a pure is not much faster than making a main, in fact it often takes longer to make a pure then a main of equal level.
If pures are running, don't fight them, if they attack you then I'm sure you won't lose much. I have a pure, and according to you, I pked on it because I wasn't brave enough to lose my stuff. Well, you are wrong. I often fight without p item on my d scim pure, and would do the same with a whip pure if I wasn't just getting a few rune items when killing someone.
Overall "No wildy because I don't want to fight pures" is a horrible argument.

=P i loved free trade but i don't know how im going to get money with the wilderness back. I wish we could have free trade but no wilderness. But i can live without it, just go back to chopping trees. I'll be happy either way =[)

The Vote's Speak for themself , i think alot of people miss the old runescape , i know i do . i have been playing for 7 years , and i quit playing in 2007 beacuse of the update , now that i see where runescape is going , i am giving it an other shot.
scamming,hacking,gold farming ,gold selling , will never stop people do it everyday , find new ways and tricks , its the way it works.
i think its an **some idea to bring the old runescape back , i bealive alot of ppl are happy about this. i have seen people on other sites going ( omg yes! old pking and free trade will be back!!!).
Pking lost it's touch after 2007 , now a days you kill someone to get nothing , yet you die and you lose 10 times more what you got from a previous 5 kills. No point or fun.

I've been seeing people argue the problem of RWT and Botting coming back with free trade and wildy, but in reality, these problems never left. Botters still bot and RWT'ing still happens, when one way of RWT'ing is stopped, another way of doing it is found, it won't stop regardless of whether you bring Free Trade and Wildy back or not.
If there has been so much hype about this, with the official poll and everything, and there is still no action on getting it back, I guarantee Runescape will lose even more players purely from the disappointment that it got people's hopes up, but wasn't brought back. Since this game has been created, the wilderness and the free trade were probably the 2 things that (mostly) everyone loved about this game, and when it was taken away, thousands and thousands of players left with it, including me. I think if this is brought back, many many new AND old customers will be brought back too.
As for the people being scammed, there is always a way around being scammed. It's called being cautious. When you get scammed, it's your own fault for allowing the person to do it, the free trade and wildy is not to blame for your lack of awareness.
Jagex is probably already aware how passionate people are about the ORIGINAL wilderness, and after seeing the 2 best things to this game be taken away, there's no wonder Runescape saw a fall in customer numbers.
I GUARANTEE Runescape will be better off WITH the original wilderness and free trade. You have to realise that these 2 things ARE the reason that Runescape began losing it's great reputation, every conversation about runescape and it losing its touch consists of "Yeah, it used to be good but then they took away wildy and free trade."
Pleeeease bring these 2 things back, are you going to grant the wish of over 900 000 customers who voted yes in the polls? Or disappoint 900 000 customers, and leave it how it is? I mean, it is pretty clear what the people want, isn't it?

Personally I want free trade but i could pass on wildy. I've been playing since '03 o any flamers wanna try and argue and say i havent ever been around in the "Golden Age" well leave me alone. The reason i dont want wildy is because if they do bring it back they may come up with a bs excuse not to move things out of the wildy like they promise. This wont be a problem normally but when i make forays into wilderness i just dont like being attacked by ancienters and having no way to escape besides "x"ing my browser out but that dont mean anything. I just hate being attacked by ancienters. Pures i could careless my defense is high enough to fend off most pures because i pose a big danger to the 99/99/1 people.

Reading these posts is like reading an essay typed up by a 9 year old autistic girl. Come on guys, grammar isn't that hard.
That being said, Jagex should bring back free trade and the old wilderness simply because it will bring in more money. As a medium-sized U.K. game developer, Jagex has done extremely well. However I imagine that their company took a hit with this current recession combined with all of these new restrictions. Obviously, something was working before so why change it?
From a purely financial, business point of view, it just makes sense. It is quite obvious that Jagex has an insane following from a few thousand players (i.e. the players who make multiple accounts, pay for multiple memberships, play all of the time, etc.), so bringing back the "old" Runescape will milk these few thousand guys for even more money! Go for it!

Saying you don't want to have to do things in old wildy because you don't want to have to fight pkers (though I agree farcasters are fail) is akin to saying you don't want to have to go to GWD to get a shot at GS hilts because you have to fight the bosses and their minions. I do hope they move revs of course, but as for clues and some of the non-quest stuff, it would be perfectly fine if it stayed in wildy.
Good to see someone who has been playing as long as me though, not to mention someone making an intelligent and reasonable post.
