Quick question; if free trade is restored does that mean that if one player drops an item then it will appear on the ground for everyone to see?
Like the old days... not that I ever drop traded.... .... .... ;)

personally, i want both of them back. they make the game a whole lot better. so what if you get scammed, getting scammed is like a right of passage almost. ive been scammed 3 times i think (each time i lost everything i had basically) but thats part of the game! it teaches you street smarts, it makes you become a better played because it gives you difficult things to overcome. sure new players will pay 1000 for one lobster, but eventually they learn that that is a way high price. pkers and scams alike add an important element to the game. plus, remember its a game so who cares if you die or whatever. as for bots and real world trading, anyone who uses botting never really gets to enjoy the game so thats their loss, all they get is the rewards which is great for a little while but eventually that kills the fun. and real world trading doesnt affect anyone except the idiots who put everything they have into a game. let them waste their life if they so choose! I am so excited for these things to come back. kudos to you jagex! for being brave enough to try something out and then for being mature enough to admit maybe it was a mistake. you guys are awesome! :)

I think that it should be reinstated as the dangerous area is the wilderness. It should be stupidly dangerous as the most dangerous creatures on runescape are the players really, practicaly everything can be solo'd and the wilderness would give a place where people can really have a challenge as many people ENJOY. The wall should be made so you can't black the warning under a certain combat level. I mean low level players shouldent wander into the wilderness. They have to know their limits which is important.
And with free trade, sure it can make scamming possible but if people actualy are careful and look at the price difference scamming shouldent be a problem for anyone with half a braincell. Why particuly would the G.E. crash? I mean some people would occasionaly pay a stupid amount for something but how would that break the market. There would be the same amount of that item and the same amount of demand for that item so it wouldent really change it.
And finaly this will actualy teach a vital life skill. That it is dangerous in the world but if yourcareful and sensible you wont have any problems. It'll teach people to not be suckers and to be more observant.
Overall i think it should come back despite the fact i absoloutly SUCK at PVP and always have even against lower levels.
Well thats the end of my argument, i didn't have a rant about the against comments which SUCK and are not really thought through as i thought i would, i just did this bit here. Some arguments against are not bad as they actualy thought through their argument but people wan'* it back you people, Im sorry but some people are idiots and will vote yes, realize its too dangerous and get scammed then cry and want it changed back but its really their loss so then you can laugh at them.

Man I can't wait for this to happen. Feels like I'm going back in time. I get this butterfly feeling in my stomach thinking about it. That sounds so sad but its so true. I quit when it happened and I intend to subscribe as soon as it is restored.

Hey guys, I'm also a player from 2007 returning.
If you want my theory of why Jagex does this it's because they finally realize that combat against bots and RWT is futile. It exists in every single MMORPG and in this case their attempts in limiting it only anger the fair players.
So... it's about time. RuneScape... welcome back!
