Fred you will know what people are charging because it will have the market price (as it will in the trade screen too)... if you want to buy it quickly offer a few k over if you want a deal offer a few k under.
It seriously is incredibly simple...

1) i havent said your stupid or that your english is bad. 2) read how there updating the g.e there still leaving recommending prices on there. which means itll be harder for merchers in the g.e this way (not that im all that bothered about them) i think your opinion is that of someone who hasnt experienced what rs was like before the update. and i wont be surprised if your view will change after the update.

There's about 8 days left, the vote could make some mysterious turnaround in that time. Anything's possible.
To reinstate, it doesn't matter to me what the outcome of the vote is. Yes or no, it is up to Jagex. It's their game. They tooketh away, they can giveth back, and then... taketh away again for no apparent reason...then dangleth in frontdth thy happy little faces, and then SNATCHETH away once more. And there really isn't much you can do about it, except stay or go. Or come here...and...destroy your keyboards over it.
It's funny to me how some people are insisting that the vote is unfair, that on the majority's side, players are voting with multiple accounts. Don't play helpless victim here. You know full well that if they are able to do that for their vote, you can do the same for your own. You're all voting from the same page. More than likely you probably already have; you just don't like the fact that it is not in your favor. So however Jagex decides to gauge the integrity of the votes, is up to them.
Anyway, whatever the outcome is, I'm going to get a kick out of it and the possible events that will occur shortly after. It's really interesting to see how things have changed over time, but the fact that everyone cannot be satisfied at once, will always remain the same.
Besides, you can't expect things to NOT be shaken up every once in awhile. There are multiple aspects to this game and many things to participate in and enjoy. So if you play, focusing on just a few, and those aspects are changed and/or removed then yes, you're going to feel a little...shaken. Take that as an opportunity to explore the rest of the game. But if there is a possibility of them being brought back then yes, go ahead and go crazy. I like to see a little chaos every now and then.

to people that say free trade rperesents real life more :-
1) if you walk into a shop and want to buy a can of coke does the shop keeper list a price and thats what you have to pay.

1.1) or can you do free trade and pay what you want for it?
2) if you think thats notright if searching for insurance for your car can you go onto a site that lists the cheapiest deal and most expensive (like the minimum price and maximum price in the grand exchange)
2.1) or do you jsut make an offer of what you want to pay to them?
-----------
I've numbered your points so you can keep track of my response...
1) The shop keeper does list a price however a tag/price is only an invitation for a customer to bid on a specific item. The price charged is agreed upon ** the customer and the owner of the item. Nowadays in larger corporations you cannot go in and haggle, as the managers have a limited power to change things. However, in smaller companies haggling is always an option - the problem is people are too used to just accepting and conforming - especially in Britain.
1.1) The person buying NEVER pays what they want for it anyway! The person buying pays an accepted price, but has to compromise. At the end of the day the person WITH the item is ALWAYS going to have the advantage of knowing the person wants the item and therefore wont be walked over entirely. You haven't thought that statement through as it is poorly worded.
2) Sites that compare products such as insurance aren't always a way of getting the best deal. Furthermore they are rough estimate quotes, it is possible that by phoning up you are able to get a better deal - especially as the compare sites and online purchases take general information and have no human interaction.
2.1) See 1.1
