I don't want the PVP system to change. At least, not fully. It seems the issue is the PVP worlds are not meeting "ganking standards" so why not change themm instead? I do not enjoy pvp, and it would limit the size of the game world for me and others like me.
The trade limit system does not seem broken, but if it can be one instead of the other, i would prefer trade limits to be removed.
regardless of what happens, if the old wilderness is returned on all worlds i will no longer use Runescape as my "gold-standard" and instead, repress it from my memory entirely.

As a player who started in 2002 (started this account in 03), I'd very much like to see Free Trade and the Wilderness back.
It has been a very long time, and Jagex has much better ways of dealing with bots than in 2005. Not to say they don't exist anymore. In these 4 or so years without free trade, the shape of the RS economy isn't what it used to be - GP is worth a less relatively due to inflation and the amount generated everyday.
As for the people worried about dying in the wildy - we collected Dragon Bones, and Abyss crafted back then. It's only bringing it back to those days. I also miss having awesome DMs back then, essentially anteing up our rune sets against each other. Again, we had some pretty fantastic skirmishes between clans in the deep wilderness - and either returned with inventories of rune armour or nothing.
Looking forwards to reliving those old times, man.

The poll is seriously flawed by combining apples and oranges in the same bag.
Generally, free traders aren't the ones that ambush players on their way to the abyss. Player killers aren't spending their time amassing fortunes. Some, of course do both, but I believe that time-wise the two are rather mutually exclusive.
Because you combined the two in one vote the results are an inaccurate statement on what players want for either free trade or wildy.
Too, the confusion on vote/abstain renders the results, to some extent, invalid. I voted, but now realize my vote indicated the opposite of what I intended. I should have read more carefully, my fault.
While I appreciate the work Jagex puts into developing and maintaining the game and making it equitable for the majority, I think this is a ploy to allow Jagex to do something they have already decided to do. Then when done, Jagex can reply to complaints by saying "This is what the majority wanted."
Jagex is a business, and this is a business decision. As such, I cannot fault it. I only resent it being disguised with the cloak of majority rules. Be forthright, just call it a duck and be done with it.
Edit: The duck reference may be too obscure. It refers to the saying "If it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.'"

If this does happen it will re-invent the best game in the world.
Since the removal of free trades the game has more or less become a single player experience (for me anyway..)
From an educational aspect, Runescape basically taught me GCSE economics, having not had a lesson in my life. It taught me aspects of business that i would have never learnt if not for free trade been allowed.
Runescape should allow free trade and wilderness back into the game.
Do it JaGex and make the game that once was. :)

Haha what are half of you guys even talking about? I'm assuming everyone that is against the old wilderness returning didn't actually play back when old wilderness was active.
Killing green drags was always a risk and should always be a risk. The way to get past it? take only 3 valuable items with you, that way IF you get pked you only lose what you've gathered from the dragons in your inventory. Fair price to pay for such an easy way to mass aload of cash I think?
Abyss Runecrafting was also always a risk. Way to get past that? Wear hides, take 1 or 2 sharks with you. Oh noesss, I can't *2 a FULL inventory of rune essence.. oh dear my pixels :'(.
The wilderness is a joke right now, the only risk there is some rubbish mobs that WALK around and have no real tactics of killing players.
Long live the old wildy!
