@ArKa1c BuNnY Yeah I understand that but I don't understand holding a poll then just releasing the old code? - You'd have to take the results and apply changes based on the poll results to make an effective change.
What would be the point in holding a poll asking for votes on two different topics with different options to choose on both topics? Like Free Trading and The Wilderness.. if they already know the answer and have the plans in place already?
It's only my opinion anyway so don't be offended or annoyed in anyway from it. :)

for the mods that aren't sure about voting.. id have to say most mods now days are not even vets and dont even know it was like way back when we walked around like cubes. so when some mods talk negative about this it makes me mad.. and it doesnt matter what they do to rs. there will always be botting, and other techniques to trade welfare. so bringing back the wild would save jagex a handful of problems. also would bring back alot of my friends. and many other players from private servers that pk. i missed the wild so much i paid 3$ a month to pk on a special private server which was worth it. i play rs to pk thats it. the challenge of being the best or outbeating your competitor. makes the game fun.

I'm not saying they should allow real life trading, I never did. What i meant is that with free trade, comes real world trading, and everyone knows that can't be stopped. But like before, I wouldn't care if other people were cheating, I'm only worried about myself.
And I don't understand your point of how allowing real world trading would increase my membership. Seems like you just made that up.

@ArKa1c BuNnY, Yeah watching video would be a good idea but you wouldn't get the full experience from watching somebody else play.
As for private servers, they're illegal and nothing based on the real mechanics of RuneScape. Nobody should relate them to this game.

It doesn't matter to me what the outcome of the vote is. Yes or no, it is up to Jagex. It's their game. They tooketh away, they can giveth back, and then... taketh away again for no apparent reason...then dangleth in frontdth thy happy little faces, and then SNATCHETH away once more. And there really isn't much you can do about it, except stay or go. Or come here...and...destroy your keyboards over it.
It's funny to me how some people are insisting that the vote is unfair, that on the majority's side, players are voting with multiple accounts. Don't play helpless victim here. You know full well that if they are able to do that for their vote, you can do the same for your own. You're all voting from the same page. More than likely you probably already have; you just don't like the fact that it is not in your favor. So however Jagex decides to gauge the integrity of the votes, is up to them.
Anyway, whatever the outcome is, I'm going to get a kick out of it and the possible events that will occur shortly after. It's really interesting to see how things have changed over time, but the fact that everyone cannot be satisfied at once, will always remain the same.
Besides, you can't expect things to NOT be shaken up every once in awhile. There are multiple aspects to this game and many things to participate in and enjoy. So if you play, focusing on just a few, and those aspects are changed and removed then yes, you're going to feel a little...shaken. Take that as an opportunity to explore the rest of the game. But if there is a possibility of them being brought back then yes, go ahead and go crazy.

Bringing back both free trade and old wilderness seems like a pretty good idea to me personally. When old wild and restricted trade started, I noticed a lot of my good friends had stopped playing, in fact, I almost quit myself- but stayed instead. This idea, without a doubt, would bring back some of the players that had quit before.
I'm not too sure about free trade and old wild though, free trade opens the door for scammers, real world item trading, etc- and wild provides for people a way of tricking people into the wild and killing them; but I feel that Runescape just wasn't the same after these were taken away.
Even though adding these 2 things back would bring tons of problems, I feel as if Runescape should be how it was.
You guys will just have to crack down even harder on the free trade problems.
I would suggest leaving the "worth ____ coins" at the bottom of the trade window also so that (1) people won't get scammed for all their money and (2) would provide an easy way to buy things.
-Those were just some of my thoughts on this whole bringing back free trade and old wild since I was there when all this happened.

If Jagex endorses real world trading, it would be considered taxable income.
It is extremely unlikely that Jagex would ever promote real world trading, given the history, so that outcome is never going to happen.
Another serious issue with real world trading is that accounts bought from traders are almost always stolen. If you, as a buyer, pay real money for this and then the person who ORIGINALLY had that account is returned their account, you are out of pocket without the account you bought and the trader is nowhere to be found. This is con-artistry over the interwebs. This then becomes Jagex's problem to help find the person who stole the account, which takes up some of their resources which could better be spent making epic game updates for you?
Real world trading of items also drives item values up for materials. I will continue using the example of yew logs. If bots cut yew logs all day (for trading with real world buyers), the supply of open market yew logs will decrease. Pretty much everyone knows the concept of supply and demand. Less supply = more demand = higher price. This will mean that you, as a legitimate player, will have to work harder than you should for your items, only because these items are hogged for trading.
