Alleys Binky, you are hilariously incorrect. The update was absolutely not to stop bots; rather, it was a failed attempt to stop RWT. Botting decreased because of an update to the game engine which prevented old bots from working correctly. Since bots have evolved, they no longer are affected and thus the recent rise in botting.
Oh, and to those of you who think the votes are rigged: it would take roughly 9,000 votes to increase each side 1%. That's assuming that the opposing sides received 0 votes in the process. We did see the no vote drop by 1% to the "I don't care" side.

In old Rs..Back In the day. The only people Who Got scammed where the 12 year old kids who were dumb enough to fall for it, Besides you gotta be 13+ to play the game so most people who were actually ATLEAST 13 Didnt get scammed Cuz They werent being Dummy's And following people into wild for a dragon dagger or something. Look My whole point is, No matter one any of us say, jagex looks at it this way 9 Billion people Want it seventy thousand don't. So Who Do you think They will choose? No One Person Will Stop A whole Clan Of mods. Its gonna be just like before So keep Your wits about you and dont Mess up this time. If Some Of you Are smart, I'd Reccomend killing Green dragons and collecting white berries Like you have no other life. Because We all Now old Rs pkers like to camp at places like that. So how this is gonna work is, there going to have less of that stuff causing it to skyrocket. As For Bots/Macro's/Autoer's/Etc. There have ALWAYS BEEN Hackers/Cheaters W/E you want to call them, Jagex say's They can take care of em now..
So i'm assuming they have it under control. If not...Just don't Give out your pass's and check the sight before you logg in. Stay Away from Gold4Rs And Keep away From Rs-Related download links And you wont have any trouble. Play it cool, keep it safe guys. Happy new years.

I quit Runescape the right after they nerfed pvp/free trade but I still remain on the forums. (wow 7 years of my life spent on this game) However, now that they have finally come to their senses I will definitely consider renewing my membership and playing once again.

Duel staking to get-rich-quick off of high staked matches..
Wildy to pk 50m+ worth of gear in seconds (as opposed to rcing double nats for 50 hours)..
It's going to make me a rich man AND my account is going to soar from it ;)

haha gf for those who dont like wildy or the free trade update.
all those who say "i have mixed feelings about this. ppl will start getting scammed again " ... LOL if u get scammed in rs its because ur a fail.
noobs dont have big amounts of cash to get scammed with expensive items !! now every1 knows how to play rs so get over it THIS WILL BE BEST UPDATE SINCE DECEMBER 2007!!
