Jagex clearly stated they are more capable of dealing with
botters these days. Btw theres tons of real world trade methods just ask rs4gold, not that I use any of that garbage.
Just trying to show you that it wouldnt be that different without trade limits, and the pros are alot bigger then the cons.

the people on the first two pages of this thread are the reason why old pk/wildy got taken out in the first place.. it's ridiculous, they were mad all the botters were fishing and selling at a lower price which drove the fishing economy down for them. They were mad at merchants for making 10x more money than they were by being smart rather than fishing it and in their eyes the "admirable way." it's whine ***** like them that ruined the game, and it's sad three years of bull **** hasn't broken them out of their moronic ways. YES there were scammers running wild, and YES people were getting lured into the wildy. BUT there's actually more abroad scamming now ie merch clans. by now after every one seeing elvemage lure everyone into the wildy for phats 24/7, they've learned their lesson, it's just the idiots that don't pk or who are too moronic to realize all of this. Honestly that's what rs was about, WHO DIDN'T GET LURED AT LEAST ONCE? if you haven't, you should not be allowed to vote against this. it was a basis of rs, now the game has been nothing but pampering and treating everyone like little babies. At who's expense might i add? the merchers and people who were smart enough to know how to maximize their gaming to get what they wanted. Life isn't fair, jagex shouldn't have made rs. (imo) so to all of those fishers, woodcutters, and everyone who complained about botting and RWT who ruined the game for three years, **** yourselves it's coming back. :)

Seeing as everyone else has an opinion on this I might as well show mine... First off I love the idea of bringing back the old wilderness, of course with the wilderness ditch to avoid luring... I dont however feel comfortable with the limits on the g/e being taken off. I feel that the limits in a sense stabilize the market and therefore are a good thing. I think that when it comes to free trade the amount of quests that you do shouldnt really have anything to do with the limit that you have. I love the idea that the longer you were friends with the person the more you could trade, and feel this is something that could be beneficial. In the poll you were only able to vote about whether you wanted both of the options... I feel there should have been a third option and that being that you wanted one option over the other... I think the g/e is a great system and the way that trading works now is near perfect and should not be changed... however when it comes to the wilderness I feel that the old wilderness was better than the new wilderness and to be completely honest much more entertaining...
Recent posts have said this game has become more and more like world of warcraft and I couldnt agree more... I don't like WoW and feel that this game as a great deal less confusing and there is alot more to do, adding the wilderness back would only maximize the potential that this game has and increase the level of enjoyment..
Good luck making this decision
(im not going to say if you do it one way over the other you will be ruining the game)

Ok so as a player of ohh god i can't even really remember...like 7ish years I am well aware of what the free trade and old wildy did for the game and both were fricken fantastic...merching was wonderful and I have to agree with earlier posts of the rush of possibly losing items to annoying pkers if you didnt make it back in time...I lost so much from that and although at times it was annoying it was deffinately way funner then the woop-de-doo wild we have now....plus with free trade you could merch for a day or so and get back every cent you lost plus more...whats wrong with that?! However...I heard jagex talking about relocating the revs...IF WE WANT THE TRUE WILDY BACK THE REVS MUST GO!!! Not simply move across the wildy way back in la la land but literally leave the game entirely...the are even more annoying than a good pker and they're only purpose is to do exactly that...annoy the hell out of everyone it meets...REVS MUST GO FOR GOOD!!!
-please comment if you agree..i strongly believe that this needs to be included in the release of the old wild...

time for my opinion i loved the free trade it added depth to the game that is now lacking and if u get scammed then u are stupid go play WoW. now as for the old wildy it was a rush to go over the ditch when it was there and kill people and get there stuff as for botting they are still here they just put the stuff up on the ge i have seen a lot of botters after the 07 update then before as for the problem of rwt there will probably be a new software update to fix that

I say bring the original Wilderness back... in separate World(s). You guys could dedicate an entire World(s) to the original Wilderness, kind of like how you dedicate entire World(s) to things like Bounty Hunter, Fist of Guthix, the Great Orb Project and so on. This should solve most of the issues and gives players a chance to slay one another once again. HOORAH.
As for the Free-Trade, I think it would be a safer option to create a World(s) limited to only experienced players. This should prevent newbies for getting scammed and also make things enticing enough for a lot of former players to return.
