The old wilderness will:
Give better value drops, which is not good because that means inflation and pking was never meant to be better money than other things. In the REAL old days, you skilled for money then pked for fun, because there were no safe pvp places where you could fight and not lose your stuff.
No trade limit will:
mean people can big gifts to their friends. Like was can't do that already! The system we have currently means that if you have a small 20k trade limit, you can give 80k to a long time friend every 15 minutes! If you have a hefty 50k trade limit, you can give 800k to a friend per hour. Thats quite allot.
Make it easier to merchant. Yay! the rich get richer... It will also make the GE less used, which means people who wan'* to quickly buy and sell stuff have to look around and potentially spend more/earn less.

We already ahve various safe and dangerous pvp places, so if you want the first two things, try gambling. And with trading, the trade limit implented something called FAIRNESS. You migth have heard of it.

All that is not including RWT...
To people who want this update:
1. have a good go at all the different skills.
2. Try out all the current activity*.
3. Explore Runescape.
4. Go and do things with friends.
5. Kill soem random monsters or bosses.
6. have a go at the current dangerous PVP system.
7. Give a friend a gift.
8. Sell some of your stuff for a reasonable amount and buy some new stuff
After all that, then tell me if the game really needs the old wildy and no trade limits.

Before I state my opinion on this matter, could I just ask a couple of things in big capital letters:
WHY ISN'T THERE AN OPTION TO VOTE *AGAINST* THIS?
It makes even less sense when you consider how many people are putting in multiple account names to up the vote. Which brings me to my next question:
WHY DOES EACH PLAYER GET MORE THAN ONE VOTE?
It would make more sense if you had to actually log in to vote in order to represent people's opinions more clearly*******;You can't be silent more than once****;---

Although Jagex's increasing efforts to stop botting and real world trading in the past few years have been nothing short of incredible, it is clear to see that many people are still using bots, from things as "harmless" as autotypers to the more serious bots which allow the player to steal from farmers, mine gold deposits and much more. One argument is that such a radical step as introducing free trade and the wilderness should not be taken until Jagex have dealt with the botting problem entirely; however, I am of the opinion that bots will never be stopped entirely. In fact, someone pointed out to me the other day that if bots *weren't* gathering so many resources, it is probable that prices would be much higher than they are at the moment.
I'm not sure what brought around this sudden change of heart, though. When my brother told me about this post, I honestly thought he was having me on! All I can do is hope that Jagex are willing to catch the vast quantities of bots and real world traders which would undoubtedly appear as a result of this change, and hopefully retain certain worlds whose wilderness will continue to function as it does now (after all, pking could still be restricted to PvP worlds).
Having said all of that, however...the old style of pking *was* fairly enjoyable. But I doubt this change could be implemented fairly or without plenty of *major* repercussions.

I aboslutely love the idea of The old wilderness and trade limit coming back with few exceptions. first pking should still br restricted to certain worlds and some of which can be +1 items and some of which can be loose all your items. restricting to certain worlds means non pkers can *till roam the wilderness of clanwars, stealing creation, and other wilderness bound activities. Though i do like the current bounty hunter system with targets. but without ep. Also, making plus 1 item worlds lets pkers have fun without having the risk of losing too much money to quit the game. I think my compromise will fit all players wants and needs and should be put in consideration by jagex. Thankyou for your time:] also if you get scammed, then you obviously didnt take the time to lok at the confirmation screen.

Along with many other runescape players, I am against this possible update.
Sure the old wildy and free trade days were fun, scamming noobs and rushing unsuspecting people in the wilderness. But what effect will this update have on the game if it is to go ahead?
1. No more safe clue scrolls
2. No more relatively safe wilderness quests (summer's end)
3. G.E would become obsolete
4. Item trade scams would return to the game
5. Botters would return in mass numbers (no matter what you do jagex, they will come back)
6. Bounty Hunter would just be messed up
7. Popular money-making ways (e.g. slayer) would be pointless as a rich person could basically give a level 3 a partyhat.
so although it would be fun to bring back old wildy and free trade, would it be worth bringing it back in for the sake of a few happy players?

I liked the Wilderness how it was. I liked going to Clan Wars. All that has to happen now is one misclick with expesnive kit and 'there goes my kit'.
Greens was a source of income for me. Sure it's nub, but I liked it, it was what propelled my character forward in the game and got me where I am today, something which barrows had failed in.
It was easier to do clues as well. With PVP I allways dropped a clue because I couldn't face going to wilderness, getting a good reward/chest then dying with it, wasting ages of work in the process.
It's bad enough seeing all the people who've botted for their wealth as is. I highly doubt you'll be able to adapt your systems fast enough to deal with this. At least with the old system you had a chance of targetting bots. There will be too many gates open if you release the bots back. :|
ALL I'm asking is please, PLEASE, if you HAVE to implement this, at least keep some worlds wilderness free? It might be a lot to ask, but a fair few of us would really like that.

Anyway safe pvp means all fun no risk. The point of dangerous pvp is glory and the drenaline rush.
For glory try duel arena.
For adrenaline try gambling.

Thank you, thank you,and thank you. If this comes back I'll be more addicted to Runescape again than a drug addict. (idk how appropriate that is, forgive me if it isn't :O ) Just in time after I got my pures defence to 60... But that's alright, making new pures was the funnest part anyway. I don't know if it's good to keep the grand exchange:
Pros: You buy things a lot quicker.
You can't get scammed.
You can buy huge amounts.
convenient.
Cons: Can be manipulated by merchanting clans and make prices skyrocket (Or plummet) in a month.
makes a fixed price for everything (idk if that's good or bad)
This is actually a pretty hard dilemma, I don't want manipulated prices but at the same time I don't want to take 5 minutes to buy something that I could buy in 10 seconds (with GE). I'm all in for the return of the wilderness, though. I will PK so much, it's not even a joke. Better stock up on your PKing items 'cause you know those are gonna skyrocket in price...
