why is there no log on required, people could vote numerous times. and I'm doubting the accuracy of the actual number of voters on the counter because of this; how many new accounts have been created to purely vote on this (its even suggesting to do so!)
I'm sorry, but whoever thought that this method of a vote, especially something which will drastically change the game such as this, without consideration to the above mentioned points needs talking to, seriously.
My interest ly in the fact i dont wanna pay ridiculous prices for objects when theres no set price, and i dont wanna get piled when I need to go into the wildy for reasons other than to PK there, such as rc in the abyss.
This whole thing is a joke, im really questioning the validity of it all

Hello, firstly of all i'd like to say that this update will be awesome for all of us ..
Remember how many people left when the restrictions were added?..
You removed the best things on the game..
Pking , staking , trading
IT was fun staying in world 1 trying to *ell a rune platebody :p
Now its just .. i don't know .. but the PVP Sucks very bad , you kill someone that is holding 100m worth of items , and you get a Addy pickaxe drop?.. That thing only happens in runescape atm.
I guarantee you that you will get more players playing if you do this update , im speaking because of my own experience , i play since early of 2002 , and i know the runescape's history.
my 2 cents :)

First off, I would like to personally thank Jagex for putting up this vote so people can voice their opinion in great numbers. There are obviously many people in favor of it considering it has gotten over half a million votes already. :)
To everyone who is against it and is wondering why Jagex is considering this, I have an explanation. RuneScape has been losing more and more players, and it is no where near as popular as it used to be in the good old days. If you want to see the popularity trend of RuneScape just look at a web traffic site, and you will see it has GREATLY decreased in the last couple years. RuneScape used to be in the top 400 most visited websites on the internet. It is now struggling to remain in the top 2000. The removal of the wilderness and free trade played a big part in this. The bots may be a problem, but it's not worth losing millions of players over.

nooooooo dont vote!
it would ruin the game!!
if this hapend boters, gold farmers, scamers and real world traders will rule runescape!!!!!
the prices of runite will sky rocket just like it was in the past.
instead of paying a mere 180k for runite it will be driven up insanely.
i kinda think this is an april fools joke though...
i mean there is no vote for no and u can vote for anyone in the game...heck i could vote for elvis if i wanted to.

I am absolutely against the change. one of the things I hated most when i first became a member was the venturing into the wilderness to work thru a treasure trail and getting hammered by 6 or more morons who wanted to kill me for the spade that I was carrying or the dragonhide armour i was wearing. It made no sense to me what so ever that I should have to run out thru the wildy, fight a zammy mage, 2-3 dark warriors, maybe take a few dragon hits all to be attacked by a clan on my way back. nd now with the new weapons there is no possible way to survive an attack like that. let the player who want to do battle in that way go fight each other on a pvp world where there are other people who expect the same treatment instead of allowing them to attack a bunch of people who are really not interested in pvp in the first place.
As for the free trade limit, I hope that jagex has a really great plan to eliminate gold farming and botting. the RS economy is strong and stable and driven right now by a bunch of people who are willing to work for what they want. thats the way it should be.why have the prices gone up? people are demanding more for their labor. thats the way that the world actually works. bots drag these prices down. the antibotting tech isn't that good, I still see bots on nearly every login, they have just gotten better at hiding it.
the only part of the old game that I did miss was the ability to help out the occasional noob by setting them up with new weapons or armour after they died, or the ability to give gifts to some of my friends (example: a friend gave 3 of us in our clan dragon boots the second week after release). I think that a better solution would be to base the trade limit solely on the total lvl and QP of the one giving the gift. for instance if a person wants to give away 100k at at time they should have all skills over 60 and at least ha3/4 or the quests done.then even if the player is macroing a skill they have also spent time playing

i understand the topic of cheating and money farming. but my opinion is, that it will be like the good old days and we wont need to fight something back because that was the only problem.
i think most of people wanted the old wildy, because u can get the item from the person or some of em.
and the no limit trade. it helps because, people can help their friends with large amount of money or stuff.
thanks you very much
i vote yes, I would like to have them back.
