I find it lame/unfair that the two things (Wilderness and Free Trade) are part of the same thing to vote for.
What if you only like one and hate the other?
Personally I don't like either all too much, but still, they shouldn't be lumped together.
It's like saying "Vote yes for 1000x Exp event and Permanent Death with PKing enabled EVERYWHERE!"
(Before someone... dumb says it's not that, it's an analogy, if you don't know what that is, look it up)
Kind of... Bogus.
Granted, some aspects of the Wilderness would essentially be the same as having free trade open (that is, killing someone to make them drop something to bypass free-trade, in the event that free-trade failed in a separate vote)
but still.
Not everyone wants the Wilderness, some only want free trade, and yet the wilderness is tacked on along with it, as if they were the same thing.
If this is an attempt to please users, they should be separated, so that what's wanted is kept and what isn't is tossed. Otherwise you'll have to listen to a bunch of people who voted yes for the Free Trade complain about how much they hate the wilderness, and so on.
I'd still vote no either way.
Runescape's going back on an update that pleased me greatly, and I'm pretty disappointed in it.
It's like writing a rule and then taking it away because people didn't like it. Of course they didn't like it, nobody likes rules.
But without rules, people would hate life even more than they would with them.
People will always hate on something. All this is really doing is flipping it over, making the ones the update pleased unhappy, and the ones the update displeased semi-happy. Of course, there'll be users complaining about it even if they're happy with it. I'd bet money that people will eventually complain that "It's not as fun as it used to be, back in the day" or whatever.
Anyway, since it seems it's coming back no matter what...
I hope you all kill each other in the old wilderness and lose lots of money, if not all of it. :3
