I think free trade should stay, I like the wilderness the way it is. As my favorite activity is exploration, as the current wilderness is one of my favorite places.
On another note, the poll could have been better, we should have the option to choose one or the other, both, or neither. That is all I have to say on the subject.

ive been playing since 2005...when they took away wildy and free trade in 2007 i quit and havent played since...i decided to see how runescape was coming along so i went to the site and saw the vote count on top..without reading i clicked vote, happy with my decision...but then i began to think about it, i realized that bots and RWTs ruined it..i also hated old wildy..so i think we should keep free trade...Jagex will never get rid of RWTs and bots, they will keep coming back.
so my vote is yes and no, i want free trade and not old wildy, i know, im indecisive :P but thats how i feel.

I've read good and bad in this thread, but you know what..... I guess I'll say yes.
If things go sour jagex can always revert it, and those of you saying clue scrolls or dragons would be impossible, no it'd just make them all the more fun, think about it, your about to finish your clue scroll, but all the time having to worry about pkers coming to kill you, and the excitement it would bring, think about how much more rewarding it would be to finish a clue scroll while having to dodge pkers?
Or getting a full inventory of dragon bones/hides surely it would be much more fun to kill a dragon when you have to think about the pkers hiding just around the corner?
And free trade would be great, I'd be one of the people giving friends presents, or simply helping out new players with a boost of gp :)

People says that they can't take bots and RWT's off and evrything, but if they can't why should we keep the limit and wild when there were like 5 world full of pk! people had to wait to join! now the max I saw is like 700..Hard to find your levels and all, the minimum lvl 20 is great but me I think that Wild And Trade should come back, People use to really help each other, help with quest and now this is all gone, I used to love world 1! just because evryone was saying BSALE! ahaha and you bargin your price, it was just awsome.. I vote YES

I find it lame/unfair that the two things (Wilderness and Free Trade) are part of the same thing to vote for.
What if you only like one and hate the other?
Personally I don't like either all too much, but still, they shouldn't be lumped together.
It's like saying "Vote yes for 1000x Exp event and Permanent Death with PKing enabled EVERYWHERE!"
(Before someone... dumb says it's not that, it's an analogy, if you don't know what that is, look it up)
Kind of... Bogus.
Granted, some aspects of the Wilderness would essentially be the same as having free trade open (that is, killing someone to make them drop something to bypass free-trade, in the event that free-trade failed in a separate vote)
but still.
Not everyone wants the Wilderness, some only want free trade, and yet the wilderness is tacked on along with it, as if they were the same thing.
If this is an attempt to please users, they should be separated, so that what's wanted is kept and what isn't is tossed. Otherwise you'll have to listen to a bunch of people who voted yes for the Free Trade complain about how much they hate the wilderness, and so on.
I'd still vote no either way.
Runescape's going back on an update that pleased me greatly, and I'm pretty disappointed in it.
It's like writing a rule and then taking it away because people didn't like it. Of course they didn't like it, nobody likes rules.
But without rules, people would hate life even more than they would with them.
People will always hate on something. All this is really doing is flipping it over, making the ones the update pleased unhappy, and the ones the update displeased semi-happy. Of course, there'll be users complaining about it even if they're happy with it. I'd bet money that people will eventually complain that "It's not as fun as it used to be, back in the day" or whatever.
Anyway, since it seems it's coming back no matter what...
I hope you all kill each other in the old wilderness and lose lots of money, if not all of it. :3
