I think prices should be controlled by the skiller not the G.E, not merch clans and not by greedy player. If I think, oh I'll sell my coal at around 100-150 each, there's high demand so they'll sell quick and there's coal everywhere so it's not exactly hard to get hold of, then I should be able to do so. I shouldn't be in a position where I put my items in the G.E and the lowest prices is still stupidly high and then no one wants it at that price.
Free trade will be fantastic. But I do agree that it could cause a big problem to Jagex with all of the RWT. I would much rather they be in a situation where they could run the game efficiently, make a profit and keep adding top notch content as they are. I would love free trade back with none of the problems but I know that they come with it. I think they'll make the right decision at the end of the day.
And the way some of you go on it's like you're gonna be dragged deep into the wildy and killed, don't wanna die don't go to the wildy. It was like that before anyway.
As long as they think about it properly and can find a way to combat RWT then it has my go ahead, otherwise it's a terrible idea which could do more damage then good.

I will come back to this game if you make these changes
this is the best thing you can do for runescape kill merchant clans and give people back their rights to loot and trade
you all better pray you dont see me in the wildy cuz I will wreck you all no jokes
anyways Thanks Jagex and all the haters are probably noobs who woodcut or firemake anyways so whocares lol

Sorry to say;
But I've voted "no". The free trade is no problem to me, but it's the wildy that concerns me. I got killed a lot there when I just began. Also, my favourite money-making spot is over there, the green dragons, and if this old wildy returns, I will die time after time, because some level 100 or more are also making their money over there.

i see lots of people talking about the ge staying
if you guys read the referdum or w/e its called youd notice on
free trade
* - Unrestricted Free Trade between players
* - Unlimited staking in the Duel Arena
* - The Grand Exchange would remain, but with the lower and upper price limits removed
* - Party Room drop restrictions removed
* - Item Lending still available
* - Assist System still available
* - LootShare and CoinShare still available

just posting that to help some people not spam the thread with KEEP THE GE lol
now for my thoughts on this
i love it bunches and bunches but i dotn want worlds without wildy pvp that lots of people want now because seriosuly i played before you guys removed it that would ruin the aspect of danger because you could just go on that world
ALSO people that think its gonna ruin there clue scrolls.
* - The Wilderness becomes a rather dangerous area again and players can kill each other for their items
* - PVP, Bounty and Bounty +1 Worlds removed (game mechanics may be re-used in the future)
* - New objects that affect combat will be analysed on an individual basis
* - Gravestones will still be used outside of the Wilderness
* - Various PVP items and gear will still be available and won’t become 'rares'
* - Revenants patrolling the Wilderness will be relocated
* - Content located in the Wilderness will be reviewed as follows:
o - Quests (e.g. Spirit of Summer) and Activities (e.g. Clan Wars) will be relocated
o - Other content (e.g. Treasure Trails, the Beacon Network and D&Ds) will be looked at on a case-by-case basis
there gonna look at all that stoof

YES TO BOTH! as a long-time standing runescape player myself, i loved having the unlimited trade option when i was a lower level because my friends could loan me millions of gp that i could spend on leveling up my stats. So i beleive that we should have the old runescape traits that was when i first started playing it.

For those of you that don't remember why this happened in the first place please go to the "home" page of Runescape and then to the very bottom of the home page.
Right next to "Explore Runescape.***" in the "search" window paste:
" RuneScape vs. Real-world Trading "
Please read the very first result of the search.

Barnie, at the bottom of page 1173, states (as fact?) that:
"Botting, scaming, hacking, luring, and real-world-trading is just as rampant as ever.
If this is the case what has changed since 2007 and Jagex post of this Diary?
They obviously, according to Barnie, have no better handle on botting and RWT as they did then.
Are we just giving in?

I have been playing RuneScape since 2005, but around 4 months ago I quit because the game got boring. If old RuneScape comes back I would easily sign back up. This could possibly be the best decision the RuneScape Team could make.
