And I see it over and over, and again in the comment just above my last post here. Is the real reason most folks really want this update for the ease of getting gps and items into their account?
The redistribution of wealth sure was a lot easier back then.

Many mixed felling and emotions here. I have been a Rune Scape player since the classic days. I honestly hated all the botters and I hated having to fight with them for mining spots or cutting down trees. I stopped being a member on 8 different accounts in 2007 because of the trade limit. That was the last straw for me... One of my favorite things to do was gain a bunch of gold and then give some to my friends. You can only imagine how much you can acquire in 7 years. When you have party hats lent out to friends and then you get online to find that there is now a trade limit and you just lost your party hats and other items you had lent out to friends... well lets just say i wasn't very happy. I lost several things and many billions worth of gold. My best account (maxed main all levels 99) had max cash on it and was super easy to make money on it. But with the trade limit whats the point i loved Giving out millions of gold to new players around Christmas time and buying all my friends "Christmas presents" but then the trade limit came... and it came right before Christmas.... weeks of planning and gathering items went to waste because i could no longer give the presents. The horrible factor was that the party hats and other rares (H'ween masks, Santa hats, etc... (including a sailboat) were lost to me forever... until this update. With this update you will begin to see the generous players come back to life. I am not a member and have not been a member for some time. I will admit i made this account about 9 months ago and made it a member because i figured a pure might be fun but after playing on it i realized there wasn't much point in having an awesome account and gaining money and gold like i had in the past because..... What is the point in having something if you don't have someone to share it with..?

Anyone who has played the old RuneScape(Before Wildy/Trade removed) has been hacked, scammed, or lured before. In my opinion it just makes you a smarter and more careful player in the long run. This game was so much more fun when old RuneScape was here. Every game has hacking, scamming, luring, and botting, but RuneScape is the only one that ruined there game over it.
Them bringing back the old would improve there game by a lot, and us old players would start playing again.

I like this idea about free trade & bringing back the wilderness but i see some problems or flaws in this idea. Think about clan wars, Clan wars is one of my favorite places to be in runescape, members and non members all go there for xp and fun, but if we bring back free trade and wilderness then the wilderness becomes pvp ,right? what if you walk to the clan wars and get attacked with your armor, then you might die and lose all that money, that would be a serious problem.
But i have an idea to stop this problem before it happens. What if in an update Jadex created a banker in clan wars, so players have nothing to lose, go empty handed. then when they get to clan wars, (presumably a safe area) and then could access their bank making the journey safer. please take this into suggestion. Also another problem, i know many people who just reverent hunt, making wilderness pvp would probably relocate the revs like Jadex said but where will they go? Please take this int consideration.

The game before was emitted freedom and control, you were taught life lessons weather you realized or not. These little things made the game into the nostalgic memory I have in my head, when it comes back nostalgia will hit me full force :)

Scavlord the resson peole want this update is simple they think they can get in a time machine and go back to say 2005 jsut before the bots and cheats and the glory days of wildy
but actualy the games evlved the items have evolved and jagexs bot detection may of get better but people have beter pcs now so the bots have also got smarter.
i belive in a few months people will see why i been moaning but unfortunetly theres nothing ican do till then as i cant open peoples eyes so there have to see it for themselves

Solar, you obviously don't read updates very well, Jagex said they were going to relocate Clan Wars, as well as the quests that are in the wilderness, like spirit of summer and summers end, etc.
