Open856 wildy had wildy levels the further you go in the higher the level of wildy
if your in wildy levle one you can only be attcked buy people 1 levle higher or lower than you

but if your in 50 you can be attacked by people 50 levles higher of lower than you
so at level 10 a 80 could never hit you

No, by old wilderness it means the old wilderness...
In the old wildy the deeper you went in the higher level of wilderness you were in, this level represents the level difference that you are allowed to attack around.
Say you are in level 6 wilderness and combat level 90 you could attack another player that is level 84-96 (90+-6)

@Tylwyth (and the community):
EXACTLY! Why is it impossible to have the scenario where some worlds are 'classic' Old wildy, some pre-2007 Old Wildy, some post-2007 New Wildy and some PVP (not that anyone would use it anymore...)? Play the game how YOU want to play?
I am also an adult player and get no 'rush' from fighting another player; this is a game. I use it as a source of relaxation and diversion. Spend a few hours a week having fun MY way. Something I won't have if this update goes into effect without some options.
Many have said that the old days were better as you had to ***** to get into a world. Well, yes, you did, but that was 400 players and 1600 bots. There are about 400 per PVP world. Seems like the scenario is close to what it was, but without the bots...
Which is my next point: 'There are still bots/scammers/gp hoards/blah blah blah'. Not like back in '07. 16 level 3 yew-cutters on one tree doesn't happen anymore... So I think anyone who says the update didn't help is not paying attention.
Finally, as a paying member, I disagree with the 'so don't go there' answers. If I pay to play, why should a huge section of the map be cut-off to me 100% of the time? Why should I have to worry about danger in a GAME?

All I am going to say is that I spend money paying to be a member, there is 90% of runescape players ASKING for wilderness and free trade limit.... you have had MULTIPLE players quit when you removed it, you had RIOTS you ad people curse the name of jagex. If wilderness and free trade don't come back, i'll find another game to play. I'm tired of there being no way to make money, I kill a guy with a godsword whos skulled and get a stupid vial of water**** fails atm, and it needs its old touch back.

Zen, is just afraid to lose his/her pixels...and it is not a "huge" section of the map...what is there to do in the wild clues...some quests...and some minigames...killing dragons...im pretty sure that it isnt even 25% of the runescape map.

@Take 1 Santa
I second that, and I'm sure a large fraction of the community will too, They lost a large number of players when the updated in 2007 and I feel that if they put us through all this pollava now and then go back on what they've said, even with a 90-7-3 referendum vote, they will lose many more than they did in back then.
