As nice as the thought is of jagex changing things due to the spirit of runescape becoming the epitome of decrepit, i believe the reason this change is coming about is because the money they are losing. But hey, who is to say its not for both reasons? I for one am just glad that things will finally change.

Yea, I mean, don't forget, I'm sure almost every employee down there at Jagex plays Runescape, I'm sure many of them feel just the same as we do if not more so since some of them probably worked on the wilderness.
EDIT: Obviously Jagex cares about the wilderness or else they wouldn't have gone to such trouble trying to get it right for us while also trying to solve botting/rwt troubles.

Maybe they are finally listening. I recall many of the "elders" of players being angry with the wilderness changes. I am all that remains of my friends who played from the nearly the beginning due to the changes. Many people died off from the game after that.

I'd like to think Jagex is better than that, they were just trying to do what was best for their company at the time which is what any business should do, because if they didn't things might've gotten out of hand and then we wouldn't have ANY runescape to play. Either way, we get it back so who cares.

The voting for these two issues should be separate votes not one for both.....I'd like to see the free trade back however I would like to be able to go into the Wilderness to get to the abyss or for the slayer missions that require me to go there without getting attack by some greedy moron that is way higher in level then I am just so they can get the stuff I worked hard to get b/c they are too lazy to get it themselves. If you must bring back the Wilderness fighting you should limit it to certain worlds....or have a certain number of worlds not allow players to attack other players in the Wilderness!!
