I can't say that this no-leaderboard competition idea was a very good one. Hopefully jagex will never do a competition like this again, especially one where numbers are everything. I have to respectfully disagree with you here i actually really liked the no leaderboard idea. I feel that it brought together alot of people with similar aspirations and goals (same demographic) rather than a random collection of people (many demographics). This allowed for pleasant conversation (and not alot of butting heads) i feel throughout the event and especially the making of friends with the same game play style as myself.

This may be an unpopular idea to some but what i believe this competition truly did was drive off certain players who are normally quite competitive but always want to know where they stand in a competition, they can't deal with the pressure of not knowing. Then it brought in a more relaxed crowd who do not normally participate in competitions like this, but can deal with that pressure and gave them a shot at something exclusive. I know i don't normally participate in competitions like this, but it made me feel like i had a shot with there being that unknown factor.

I hope the point i am trying to make gets across here as i feel very strongly about the type of impact this event has had. I am honestly sad to see it go, i had a lot of fun and i feel it allowed for a different player mentality to gain a spot in the limelight compared to other competitions.

To be honest i cannot thing of a single thing i would like changed. Great competition everyone ill see you all around.

Well my calculation says you'd need 18166 eggs to make #100 :P
But depending on whether the last few hours of the event made people get extra motivated or if it made them stop, it could be very different.

Since this ins't a regular hi-score, titles have to be added manually to the accounts. It may take us a few days depending on who is available to add them to your accounts :p

I enjoyed this event and the way it was set up - no leader board. I appreciate all the efforts of the Mod's as well. I thought the updates were good, just the event was too long. Poping out at 50 hours is more than reasonable, as is being able to do 28 hours ( some people work and go to school, others work weekends ).

Before the first post, I thought I was in the top 100. When the post came out, I was majorly disappointed ~ maybe even a bit angry? So I worked my butt off. It's interesting, had I got two more eggs, my rank would have changed, but who cares, I'm in the 100. Looking at the first list and the last list, well, quite a few others did as well.

Along the way, I talked to quite a few people. And thank you Elm O for setting up a chat. It was fun. Had there been a leader board, the friendly chat would not have been there. Each would have just kept to their own and checked independently... What page and how many posts are we at now?

The other thing that I think is great is this shows the time and dedication some have to the game. I haven't a clue about E So and his numbers lol, but I can appreciate them now - I just don't have that kinda grind and time in me.

As for 100th place, well that's a few hours a day. I'm sure still doing some daily activity, but also trying for the title. I'm curious about the distribution of the top 1k actually. Where are modes, etc.

For the bot thing, well Jagex doesn't insta-ban. It give the bot makes notice of when they were detected. Hence you wait a few days, weeks, or even a month... maybe the bot is in beta-make'em work then ban'em. And yeah, the title thing, I can see it for redoing quests, but the avatar should get the title. No point in dumming up a lvl 3 and giving it to my maxed character.

So back to where I started. I really liked this event - hard on the wrist, but fun. Maybe next time, whilst top 100 is great, something with the 300, and prefix title about:

Hey everyone,

I'm glad that most of you enjoyed taking part in the event and enjoyed the format.

For those of you who didn't enjoy this format, I am sorry. This was our only choice as we had no development time whatsoever and were unable to include this in the hiscores system. We did it anyway because we felt it would gather quite a lot of interest.

We are really happy to see the sense of community that surrounded this event and from my very (very) rough calculations around 50 000 unique accounts tried to win the title at some point during the two weeks and 5000 really went for it! Wow!

I hope to be able to post some more detailed stats about the event a bit later on!

Right I know you are all waiting for the results, I will post them as soon as I have them.

I also wanted to say that I am very pleased to see that some of you set some personal goals for yourselves like Pi, 56789, etc ... !
