Just a thought.... could inventor be merged into crafting, divination, magic and fletching? Instead of making a whole new skill...add components of the idea into existing skills. This in a sense is similar to the Magical construct in dungeoneering, where you need to craft the arms/legs etc. of the creature and use runecrafting to charge it.

Thought Inventor would be ready to go 4 months after Elf city complete - 5 at the most. Said a lot of very interesting words when I read it was not.

Tweaking existing things is very nice, but personally, I maxed this year, and will be
very very bored, very very soon.
New content required.

Grinding out a comp cape is not for me, nor is getting 200 gazillion xp in a skill already maxed.

Inventor sounded like it would be engrossing and time consuming, and perhaps help the economy. Then again, Div turned out to be runespan, so maybe I expected too much, or maybe inventor ideas have already been used in other content, and you're all out of ideas.

New gwd dg good though.

A rework is not a new release - yawn!

Calling it now, the Elder God Quest will involve Solus Dellagar the Murder Mage, who else to capture a madman than someone who is also a mad man, but who has somehow managed to manipulate the Abyss to an extent that he can be in multiple places at once?* Wouldn't be surprised if it requires One of a Kind due to world building but Wanted would be a quest if you want extra rewards.


* Which is surprisingly amazing, considering that the old lore established that the Abyss experiment was an accident, only we rediscovered it by using Rune Essence Mine teleport spells to triangulate some sort of warped magical coordinates. but new lore makes it sound like the knowledge of Runes, thus teleporting to the Essence Mines was never lost, as the destruction of the old tower was attributed to the Zamorakians due to research the other wizards hated.

How would the lore handle now, now that the Battle between the the Temple Knights and the Kinshra is important to a degree, that it's even mentioned in Death of Chivalry, which it is a FTP quest? (Captain Dulcin is supposedly the descendant of Lord Shadwell)

It might not play up now, but with prior interaction with some characters, like Daquarius Renna** inside the Kinshra fortress inside the Taverley Dungeon, him assisting the Temple and Void Knights in defeating Greyzag/The Pest Queen in Void Stares back. apparently Dulcin was killed by the Witch and had the remains hidden under his bed, so he might be the only major member of the Black Knights now.


Presumably he'll bend if Solus is involved, or the Zamorak Quest will eventually converge with the Elder God/Dragonkin quest lines, Void Knights could act as a stand-in for Fundamental Guthixians whilst Godless ranges from extremist views to god-mortal politics.

EDIT: 200th quest probably will reference He-Man when talking about the War-Beasts. Culinaromancer Boots (hybrid) and (Hellish/Purple) Wily/Lazy War-Cats?

I have seen people compare Inventor and Artisan. There is one thing I want to point out. OSRS is more for the purist who would have a full fledged revolt if skills were reworked thus Artisan was added as a new skill so it wouldn't change the others. Scrapping Inventor and instead doing a overhaul of multiple skills (4-8 from my estimates) would be a true game changer instead of just adding a new skill to grind at. Summoning and Div didn't redefine the game it just added some new content that we could all have survived without. Revamping current skills really would make a big long term impact of RuneScape. To the ones saying that all the elitist don't want to lose their comp capes and blah blah blah well that might be true for some but there will always be new content that compers have to do and they realize this. I will probably never comp and I would much rather have the game go through a real change instead of just slapping on another skill. All that being said as long as we get more customization of our gear then I will be happy. I don't care how it is accomplished just do it. Stop complaining because it will be the same content no matter what they do.

Edit: one of the new quests better bring back Robert the Strong. I have a letter to give to him.

Well you could (except on the monsters that were created with summoning in mind) but not for very long. I love summoning don't get me wrong, but if it had never been added then monsters would never have been designed with the use of summoning in mind. Summoning was great and added a lot of stuff, but it is really just a companion skill and inventor will be the same way. I would love inventor if it came out but I also want skill reworks so I am torn. As long as we get to customize our stuff I will be happy. The only thing RS has done that I hated was removing the wildy and free trade (biggest mistake in RS history imo). Anyway keeping on topic skill reworks/inventor will be great and I hope they are first priority with quests coming in 2nd (I'm a big quester) and world events in third (always a lot of fun especially for clans)

i would also like to remove the 120 dungeoneering req for comp and recap dungeoneering to lvl 99,to make it fair with the other skills
now you will think,how will you do floor 50-60?
well,use the virtual formula of levels counting after 99 and so you can unlock better floors after 99
