" When Inventor did*’t pass the vote it really made us question the things we wanted from the update and whether we had missed something. "

How about not providing a vote option of an unknown new skill with limited details versus Prifddinas? Maybe that would have given you a more genuine response. But as it was, you set Inventor up to fail.
The hype for Prifddinas has been around for ever. 9 quests linked and 3 skirting round the edges. It should have been obvious to whoever thought up that great (sarcasm) poll option that Inventor wasn't going to make the cut.

Well shame on you. You failed everyone who wants Inventor. So no doubt you'll carry on establishing polls which put Inventor in the worst possible light against the skills you will improve upon... Pathetic.

In all the years players have made numerous suggestions to benefit skills and you did nothing about them and now suddenly that's your grand plan.

I agree to an extent, but I think there was a handful of information released on the skill, albeit from behind the scenes videos and facebook, enough for me to want this skill and even level up my divination in preparation for it.

Deacon Blues, I can see where you are coming from with this, but I think that voice acting to an extent is an integral part in quests and their immersion into the game. You would not enjoy Skyrim nearly as much if it had no vocal content, I only wish there was a way to disable the text box if the dialogue is going to be auditory, I always read the text and it spoils the content, whereas it would be more exciting if you did not have a forbearance on what is about to be said. I think Jagex is looking to produce quality updates and though voice acting is not a large part of RuneScape as a whole, it is still a part of their desire to bring more content to the table.

What about construction? I originally heard construction would be updated this year, then heard it got pushed back. That's a skill that's seriously overdue for a LOT of updating.

I also waited all year for the construction update they talked about at last runefest.

Construction definitely needs updating. I hardly visit my house as i just can't face building another oak door. If it wasn't for statues each month I wouldn't level up at all.

I moved my house to the elf city once it opened but have been busy on thieving getting to 91 to thieve there so also would like to see some construction element at the city as well as a general update to construction overall.
Making larder after larder or oak door seriously is no fun. Or making a pile of flat packs no one wants. If furniture in the real world cost less than the materials there would be questions being asked, so why should we put up with construction being lie that in game.

... and the construction overhaul you said you'd do this year ?

Getting strong It's a Wonderful Life vibes from that 200th quest.

I agree it has been forgotten about with the inventors skill they are half way though developing and the shear volume of combat updates.

Yes, what happened to the construction update - I was really looking forward to that!

I must admit, some really exciting ideas this year. Looking forward to them all :D

1 question though: Is that 'alternate universe' in the 200th quest ScapeRune? (if not, it should be!)

And to answer your question about Inventor: yes, I'd much rather see it be used to improve current skills in stead. Not a big fan of moving runescape forward techwise (wanted medieval game, not industrial revolution game) or mixing up gear creating the weirdest weapons (that kind of crap made me quit other games...)
Thinks Treasure Hunter uses the same mechanics Free**um games, and thereby targets people who are at risk for gambling addiction.

Not really. Scaperune is a sort of mirror world. The 200th Quest World is just the same world as Real World except without the Player Character.

Sigh, disappointed what a boring year ahead and now their trying to get rid of invention and nothing mentioned about surface world POH's? Guess that's gone to. time to sit back and collect loyalty points, hardcore mode what a fun concept for a minority of players, after becoming an adult, starting all over again doesn't seem feasible.

Have been patiently waiting for construction what a bummer...............

I'm really looking forward to a construction update. I am hopeful that it's taking this long because they're being careful about brainstorming and creating quality content instead of rushing it.
