Inventor, as presented, was far too close to just crafting as to be worth having as a separate skill.
Either it should be just part of crafting, or be made more distinct. Skills really should be separated by what your doing in gameplay terms, not merely what you get out of it.
We absolutely need new skills in the game. New things to do.
But they cant just be clones of existing skills with a new skin.

Anyway, I'll still put my proposal in for a "stealth" skill and a "spot" skill, maybe together, maybe separated.
Stealth = The ability to hide in the shadows, to avoid detection by creatures. Most importantly part of a safe runescape-wide minigame they could make of player bounty hunters and hunted. Where you have to hunt down other players, while others are hunting you. (could be played over multiple sessions, or in teams - lots still to work out).
Spot = The ability to see more then normal. Like spot-checks in traditional roleplaying. You see hidden things about runescape. Maybe secret caches, secret passages. Maybe letting you more obviously see traps. It works in tandem with stealth in the minigame proposed. Spot should be about rewarding exploration - putting extra bits in the more obscure or hard to get to corners of runescape. Not just random rewards, but bits of extra story too. A hidden diary, for example.
