I think you are looking at this in the complete wrong way. This is a chance to get a players own design of armor in game, whether it will be on Soloman's store or not, it would still be epic to have the armor *I* thought of to be a part of the game.

And there are rewards for the winner, they get a free version of their own created armor, I think that's pretty awesome.

..or you could go flame another websites forums.

"year of the player" .. giving the players a chance to make an outfit is an awesome idea.

I personally have always wanted to create something for this game, and I think it will be awesome to finally have a chance.

Either way, I'll be interested to see what the community comes up with. The chaos giants and Idria were amazing, yet completely squandered in very minor roles. Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

I like how that's slapped onto a competition thread/post having to do with items to be sold for real money. Sure; cover your asses. But as-if it's not obvious enough that there wouldn't be some magical granted royalties to the winning designer.

So you're crowdsourcing ideas and not giving any recompense to the artists, and then banking all the entries for future content by assuming all rights to them. Got it.

I would urge any serious artist not to enter this competition then. There are many other places on the interwebs you can have your costume designs featured ingame and actually collect a percentage of the earnings.
