Alright, Jagex, what was the point in this? As the saying goes, 'if it's not broken, why fix it?'.
There's no point at all in this update. Runescape is meant to be a complicated game, yet simple at the same time. This over update has over-complicated things.
Let's take speccing for example.
Before, it was much easier, your special attack is a special attack relative to the weapon that you were holding.
Now there's about twelve options to spec with.
This is terrible for a PvP or boss fight situation; before it was an easy option, now you have to press more buttons. And for what? The specs that require a higher level will obviously be better, so they will be used more. Simple.
Also, the sheathing is terrible. The button is hidden in a minimize button, which is terrible.
Also, why have my dragon claws split?
Let's say I'm pking, and I'm wearing a god book and ancients staff. Before, just one click to my claws, and spec (we've already talked about the specs).
Now I have to weild TWO claws, and select a special option (which is pointless, as I know I already know the higher level one will be better, change it back to chance)
Pretty much the update is terrible, and the only time it will be accepted by the community is in two years time when all the veteran players have left in disgust (myself included).
Just because someone who gets paid a lot has a fantastic idea to change a part of the game doesn't mean that you should do it. Especially not when it changes the combat aspect of the game, which has remained so simple and easy to use for a DECADE.
Please take my thoughts into consideration. I am against this update, and formally request its removal, as a paying member.
