I really don't like the EOC it's just not right to change a game that most of us like into a game that looks just like the others Please Jagex Make a poll about your future updates because maybe you people like the EOC and you put many hours into making it but the gamers the people that play your game might not like it i hope you guys change runescape back to the way it was when it was actually fun to play...

the eoc took me the best part of a month to get used to just melle.. and pking just isn't an option any more in the new system. Eoc is bad news and still to this day full of bugs because no one plays it to give feedback. Stop going on about how good it is and fix the game because this sure as **** isn't bringing new players in i can tell you that, the best thing you can do right now is to remove it and try bring old players in.

I have to say after initially ranting and raving about how aweful EOC was i'm now actually starting to quite like it. I don't do pking so i'm not sure how badly its affected you guys but in terms of quest bosses i'm having real fun with it. The brink of extinction was awesome using it. As long as the bugs get fixed i'm quite happy.

ok so according to the answer, than unnecessary long answer that could just be answered with Yes or NO, u launched it cuz the players were satisfied?

9. What do you say to those members who claim they will quit once EoC is released because it’s too big of a change?

"it was certainly not a reason to quit the game." and let me add 1 more thing, u always ask the ppl about what they think about the changes in a poll. why not this time?
well according to that: first, he didn't answer the question (again). second, this is not even close to the smily faces change, this was a good reason to quit the game, i did actually. (and he said most ppl dont, well, i know i'm not the most of the ppl, but it just happens that a lot of ppl DID quit)

Mark: We definitely didn’t say that if you don’t like it, you should just leave. The reason why we’ve done the beta is to give people the opportunity to play through it and give us feedback. (and blah blah blah)
my question would be more like, what are u doing NOW, jan 1 of 2013 about all those players who just quitted because of the EoC?

12. Do you really think the EoC will attract new players?
he said yes, but lets see this: from sept 25, lets say oct 1 to jan 1.... i dont see many new players... actually every new player quits as soon as they try the game now, and a lot of old players are quitting too.
ok i have to be fair, most of the time he DID answer the questions, but reading all the post i can say that there was no way this eoc change wouldn't be done

why did u make so complex a game that used to be so simple, it just happens that the most simple games are the most played ones, take maplestory for example, or runescape before EoC, Why did u fix something that wasn't broke?
all because u just wanted to add those unnecessary changes

The bulk of the community (including me) are not in favor or simply do not like the new combat system at all. Jagex puts aside the people who do not like it and only listens to the players who are in favor of it. We, the community, gave Jagex many signs telling them that we do not like new combat system. But they still installed it. I understand that they spent a lot of money in the making of the system but this new combat is going to bring down RS in the long run. If they want to fix their problem, they should simply change it back or make two programs: New combat and good old normal RS. Those suggestions are pretty straight forward and will have a MASSIVE impact on bringing back the old players and fixing the game.

As a vet who quit a couple on months ago I thought I would just come by and have a read on how things have been going. Very sad to see no change and to see less than 90k players online at a peak time is shocking to say the least. I have now quit RS for ever and sad to say I don't think that many, if any, of those who quit would return. I think RS is like the US economy, it's is a system of failures for whom those who run it are doing anything to keep it alive. When you put a frog in a large pan and slowly heat the water with a small candle it takes time to kill the frog and the frog does not see the impending death as the change was too great but too small to detect***** has made a great change and no matter what Jagex say**** is slowly heating up in the pan and at some stage will just come to a end.

The bots will surely start to become fewer as the database of those who purchased gold becomes fewer and as the perceived player base becomes less the bots will become less and it will go on. The true players who played this game will never return because not only was the update unsuitable for the RS player base, but also it makes for a terrible game for the newer player. I despise the fact that Jagex said at the front of this thread that EOC is a better format for the new younger player ( or something similar), how stupid and simple are they! I played WoW and AION and I tell you that they are far superior than RS but it was always nice to come back and play RS for its simplicity.

I have no doubt in my mind that within 5years RS will be no more and that Jagex are going to continue to throw every incentive they can think of to keep this failed update from destroying the game. It is too late, players don't trust Jagex anymore to update the game for the players interest and make a game that the players want. The constant incentives to steal your money with items and offers is just unbelievable and is evidence of this fact of failure to keep the player base.
