I really like that one, very creative. :) It shows the possibilities with the NIS are endless. I do not consider my layout the 'best' for social needs, yours is a completely different take on it and also has its advantages and disadvatages.

I really hope to see more layouts on the official channels to give us more ideas. :)

Congrats to both of you, but I must agree with the comments here. I really dislike the winner's layout. It seems incredibly bloated, and absolutely terrible for anyone without a massive screen.

Very cluttered and not very nice to look at. This is a problem in my mind, as the 'default' layouts should be very user friendly for someone of any screen resolution and size and good stepping stones to build off of. Unfortunately, I really don't think the winner's succeeded in that at all, instead creating something that really doesn't leave room to do anything at all.

I'm not saying you should rejudge, but I'm really not so sure that one should honestly be a default. It offers so little, and takes up too much room.

I also did not submit an entry (Though I was unaware the contest was closing already, I had hoped to submit but couldn't find a due date anywhere), so I do not speak from a position of jealousy, but instead one of worry and confusion. That layout doesn't seem like something that should have won the contest, nor would it act as one of value for the default layouts.

This doesn't look that bad at all. One of settings is similar, but I moved the the chat option tabs that you have in your right bottom interface to the left main chat interface.

Maybe Jagex could upload all entries somewhere for other users to get some inspiration for their own designs? Evil Tree FC - Eviltreefind V8

The winner is just the default layout with 3 new chat boxes and a screen for your tasks that really guys you have to remember tasks is like the core game play of RS, like if your not doing tasks why even play.

The runner up didn't reinvent the wheel, but it's original and with a little redesign could have been a much better layout, but in current state it's... pretty bad.
K-on ends with Yui, Mio, Ricchan and Mugi playing "Tenshi ni Fureta yo!" for Azu-nyan after their graduation. The song was written just for her as a gift for putting up with them.

i hate the fact classic interface is not really classic hope you guys/girl at jagex

The magic lies in simplicity.

That's a very simple and basic layout, excellent for those with smaller screens or who love the old classic style.

For me the runner up deserves to be the winner, if could choose between the two. The winner's(#1) design looks like he doesn't want to do any but chatting.

Wow OK this needs improvement, but for the placement of the boxes it's really good. can see why it didn't win, but if improved on this is definitely THE winner.
