Have Jagex even looked at player submissions?
It only seems like they're uploading videos made by the top RS youtubers that they are subscribed to. Jagex seems like they have ignored this thread/competiton.
People have posted videos weeks ago, meanwhile a RS youtuber with 10k subs uploads a video and 20 minutes later it's on the site frontpage. Then the next day, same case with another famous youtuber. Not saying they aren't great videos, but it would be nice to see other players' content (even if it may not be up to par with people who make youtube videos for a living.... they kind of have an advantage)
Just because a video doesnt have the dazzle of a professional youtuber, doesn't mean there wasn't a ton of effort put into it, and Jagex should realize that.
Jagex is making the rich richer... More views on their videos = more money, and they get rewarded with $10 in spins, etc...
Especially if Jagex cares so much about their youtube community (because honestly, it's the YT community that has the most influence over this game and holds it together), this is the perfect opportunity to EXPAND it by featuring under-the-radar videomakers who have made good content.
Competitions are getting boring now because you can always expect youtubers with 10k+ subscribers to win. It never seems like anyone else ever has a chance

If what you're saying is true, then do an inb4next vid from castle wars.
I uploaded a vid but I agree it isn't the best quality cause i never make vids.
I did it cause it was fun (but winning would be nice
)
Maybe Jagex chooses the youtubers not cause they have 10k+ subs (which is good publicity for the eoc), but cause they know how to make vids^^
