And the winner is ....
Firstly, can I say that all the judges have been overwhelmed with the incredible quality of entries for this competition! We've been reviewing your entries over the past few days as it was obvious that it would take quite some time so read through them all and pick a final winner. It's been an absolute pleasure though, and it is simply amazing to hear of your global adventurers and read all your creative entries!
However, there can only be one winner .... *drum roll*
Our winner is Doctor Karma who posted on page 9, post 3:
"I've always been the sort of person who prefers starlight to streetlight; too often the beauty of the natural world is obscured by the mundane things we find more familiar.
Backfloating on small, inland lakes and watching the stars is something I do routinely during the summer. This July, when the seasonal heat reached its violent peak, I took time out of every evening to look with my eyes and heart upon the sky, and one night I was rewarded with a fantastic meteor shower.
There were too many comets for me to think of a wish for each one."
Many congratulations! We've already arranged for your account to be credited with:
1 x Green Skin, 1 x Ice Mask, 1 x Barbed Bow, 1 x Turkey Hat and a 75 Squeal of Fortune spin pack!
We'd also like to mention some other entries that were outstanding and merit mention here in the winners announcement.
Notable Mentions
GOLD AU32 who posted on page 17, post 10:
"Back when I was 12 years old, I was nominated by my school with a select amount of people to visit Australia for two weeks. Being from the states, this was an amazing opportunity. We snorkeled in the great barrier reef where I saw many exotic fish. We visited an alligator farm and ate alligator soup. Played a didgeridoo which is a funny instrument. Visiting the Sydney Opera house was beautiful. Couldn't take pictures though! I got to pet kangaroo's and was one of the lucky few that got to hold a koala bear! They are so cuddly!"
Pure Riddle who posted on page 28, post 8:
"I stared out at the landscape that spread before me, museum, after museum after museum. I was at the top of the world, the very top of the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. The sun was setting, and it was almost time. I could almost taste the sweat of the people around me; we were packed together as tightly as twenty goblins in battle. And that was when I heard it. BANG! Red, white, blue and gold, the twilight glittering like the American Flag. My girlfriend threaded her fingers through mine. We were on top of the world."

"I awoke, greeted with a sweet smell of ripe papaya growing upon an aged tree beside an open window. The unending hum of insects echoed throughout my room, pitches shifting to an ever-changing rhythm. The glaring sun cast down a beam of light, engulfing the room with explosion of light off each scorched white wall; beckoning me to prepare myself for the day. With heavy breaths I arose, gasping, as the humidity hit like a wall of steam. I stood in awe for a moment, gazing at the sight the glorious wonders of Jamaica, ready for another amazing day."
