Two years ago I left to Florida's BoyScout High-adventure base, SeaBase. I went with my brother and a mixture of boys from 5 other troops, meaning I knew no one when we set out.
The 2 weeks began great because for the trip to the airport we rented a Limousine-type-bus. We had about an hour to wait at the airport then a 6 hour flight. Upon arriving we were picked up by a school bus belonging to the base and were escorted into camp and shown around. We left on the yacht the next day where we would spend the next 2 weeks.
After sailing around the southern tip of Florida for a week, snorkeling every day, we came to our halfway point, Key-west. Due to inappropriate behavior of Scouts key-west had been banned as a destination; however some shrewd debate between our scout leader and the Sea Base staff we still got to go because we had booked the trip before key-west was removed. After enjoying the sights and the key lime pies, we returned on the rest of the way home, another story.
