@ Noomi: I admire the way you wrote that... I have to agree with your points.
@ everyone: The terrible reality with ANY company, whether gaming, food, etc. is when they're small, they focus on the customers more than the money, because that's obviously attractive. When they start getting big, there are too many customers (or players) to really care about, and they start developing more of a taste for money than the people and start losing their "hearing." Now that there are soo many players, Jagex, like any other company would, starts focusing on ways to make more money, and starts caring less about all the customers' (players') wants and/or demands. SOF was one of the "symptoms," which they're probably not going to take away anytime soon. Another one is the price for membership, from a while ago, rising from $5 a month to $5.95 a month, and then $5.95 a month to *7.95 a month this past February. Of course, many companies eventually die from their own greed, but a few actually DO manage to survive for a loong time. Whether Jagex will be one to "bite the dust" or be a survivor is only known to the Lord.
