I don't really remember it like that. I played in 2005 and was pretty active in the clan community and I think the article made the clanning world seem smaller than it really was. There weren't just five or six main clans. There were many clans and there wasn't a feeling of one being better than the other. They just were.

For the love of **** just go to RSC and read up a lil', as said earlier go post on RSC, as biased as RSC can be it will still be more accurate then this.
I like the attempt, but please just go to RSC, the clan community uses tip.it on a much smaller scale.

"Titans Revolution"

I am a proud member of Titans Revolution. We won the jagex community cup, the 3+ subdivision. We won a 75 vs 86 war ending at 36 vs 0 against India Inc.
We had our name briefly in the clan news, and quickly fell into the shadows. We were in the shadows even though we are still actively warring and more importantly; winning! All anyone talks about now a days is 'The titans' or 'runescape dynasty' runescape dynasty isn't even a clan, it's a group of clans who worked together in the clan cup. A bunch of multiclanners!
We didn't get a plaque because Mod Timbo 'felt bullied into' making the 3+ subdivision for 3+ clans. We are a dominant clan.
We have our own website if anyone wants to join.
Give us a plaque.

I find myself agreeing with the dislike of the way the article only portrayed PKing clans, accurate or not. I love my skilling clan and have been a part of it since the very beginning of the clan chat existence, but this focus on PKers makes me feel like we're not a "real" clan because we don't make our entire focus fighting.
I'm not trying to say PK clans are bad. I just want Jagex to remember that there's more than just the PKers.

I agree. Skilling clans do also exist, in great number. However, the current updates and updates to come will be useful for both pking plans and skilling clans alike.

This was about the "evolution of clans"
Clans were FORMED in Runescape through pking/warring. These kinds of clans have been a extremely influential part in Runescape as well.
One article and skilling clans get into a hissy fit.... This game was HUGE on player killing when it came out. Sorry you didn't get the memo.

Skilling clans are not the only ones complaining.. .and I guess you dont read the Dev Blogs much.. .or are you saying no one has ever heard of The Titans and Damage Inc before.. .yeah.. .no articles ever on them.. .
no spotlights.. .but hey.. .as a reasonable person previously pointed out...perhaps no other clans submit articles.. .
Maybe they dont understand why a Blog seemingingly about Development would want one...Im personally bored of seeing the same Clan Names over and over again.. .even in Spotlights on these forums.. .but even articles about dead clans seem to garner more favour than any clans that are active and alive today.. .
Clans are about friends.. .whether they PK or not...and in the end...does ANY one really care about any community but their own...any history but their own.. .?
The bulk of the player base was never into PK in this game...safe PvP yes both in Castle Wars and The Clan Wars Arena.. .in fact...the Clan Wars Arena that RSC spent years asking for HAS evolved into an entity on its own and is used daily by a large population of players foruming random groups.. .and not just established safe PvP clans.. .
and it is coolio beans to hear tales of clans someone may not know about.. .so whenever anyone wants to start telling them.. .lol...
but it shouldnt be presented like its a factual approach for ALL clans.. .not even all PK clans...unless someone wants to entitle it...
Tip.it's Evolution of Clans.. .presenting only the clan types and communities of a small portion of RS CLans.. .as we have several clans and clan types dating back a long way that are currently 'missing links'.. .

Honestly I could barely understand half the stuff you posted. You were posting as if you knew a buncha info from early RS days. Then you wrote this

It was there that I knew you had very little experience in old Runescape (RSC). Clan wars was released roughly 3 yrs ago. Merely 1/3 of Runescape's existence. If you are throwing that into your rebuttal against me well sorry for you.
This was about the EVOLUTION OF CLANS. That means before 3 years ago man.
And you count castle wars as pvp? It is a minigame. It is not considered pvp in many clans books.
Btw the bulk of the player base had to deal with pk'ing back in the day because the world was dangerous. It wasnt just held in a wilderness(there were safe spots). You could duel almost anywhere.

Dude...anyone familiar with the clan world has heard of RSC.. .the acronym for RuneScape Community.. .which is an off forum group of historicly PK clans.. .lol...
Talk about not knowing what you are talking about much.. .

I started in RuneScape Classic...and I was part of the now dead and abandoned RSB community...(another acronym for the clans that use these forums...RuneScape Boards.. .that is as old as the JaGeX forums are).. .

And that statement there shows how sheltered you are...as you think 1/3 of the player base does NOT PK apparently.. .and we all know JaGeX would have NEVER removed the Wilderness if that were at all a feasible reality.. .lol...
I left a little over 3 years ago.. .after the CWA and the removal of Free Trade.. .the loss of Free Trade is why I left...and I would imagine most of the people that left this game left more for THAT reason than anything about the Wilderness.. .
Community Clans existed when I came to RSB...old ones that were around long before mine.. .so did skilling clans...and Businesses which were always classified as 'clans'.. .
